HDR??
Does anyone have an HDR solution? I have a 65" CX OLED and there is no way this is HDR. It's a washed out mess.

I read somewhere saying HDR is only available in DX12

DX12 only. Turn it on in Display options and adjust it from there. I have the same tv. Adjust the nits option to 1000 nits and then the overall brightness and you're good to go. Leave it on sRGB mode for perfect black colors. :-)

Gamingtech has a video on it on YouTube.

Why would you adjust nits to 1000? LG OLEDs clip PQ at 800 nits.

Huh... I always thought it peaked close to 1000 nits. Checked rtings and it's 800. You're right. Here's your crown sir :steamhappy:

HDR is available in DX11. It's raytracing that requires DX12. I also have OLED screens, but haven't launched the game yet (I may just return it based on the negative reviews). Some games turn on HDR automatically based on your settings. Other games require you to turn them on in the settings. Windows 11 has a feature that will auto HDR, SDR games, which generally works pretty well. I use strength 10 which is pretty conservative but never looks bad.

These LG OLED screens can be a bit finicky on your display settings on the OS, and you also need to ensure you have a good HDMI 2.1 cable, and you need to force your HDMI input into PC mode via its nonsense Home screen in the LG OS. Settings are in the top right corner of that screen. Good luck!

It's not, HDR is grayed out if you run the game in D3D11.

I have DX12 on and ray tracing. I'm going to play around with the settings on my PC and TV. Works fine in other games. This is very strange

Oh yeah, you might be right. I may have gotten mixed up with Win11 vs DX11, as well as the older meaning of HDR being used as a rendering technique rather than a higher color bit output. OP is already using DX12. I guess I might have to fire up the game and see for myself.

Well, I’m on PlayStation and don’t know which Settings are available for u guys on pc. But the game looks grey in hdr on ps as well. My workaround for this is starting the game in sdr, then switch to srgb in settings, turn up the brightness a bit and then I force the ps5 back into hdr via the System settings. Looks a lot better than out of the box. I get great black levels and the benefits of hdr

Use this and fix black level raise and to dark lighting in general (with settings for an OLED display).

https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/284

Settings:
Hdr_Fix_adapt
Luminosity: 0
Shadows: -0,250
Saturation: 1.3
Dont change Cyan, Magenta and Yellow.

In-game settings:
800 nits (LG CX OLED cant show higher HDR brightness)
Brightness slider: All the way to the right and than 20 clicks left (10 clicks to the right from neutral).

Display: 65" LG CX Oled.

First windows 11 HDR is BS...buggy as hell don't use their HDR calibration unless you have a real HDR monitor with at least 500+ dimming zones or and Oled display....on HDR TV make sure HDMI enhanced mode is on...or game mode ...max out nits slider on the game to the max.

For LG you need to set Fine tune dark areas to -16 on the game optimizer or play in SDR as this game suffers from raised black levels.
