Gamepads
I can normally play most RPG style games with a game pad (Xbox controller), however I cannot seem to get it to work with this game. I press F1 and see the option for gamepads, but clicking the reset button does not work. Anyway to get it to work?

Posting this here so others can easily find the info. This is taken from the store page:

"*STEAM CONTROLLERS WORK BY DEFAULT - Enable additional gamepad/controller support by opening the gamepad.txt file in the install directory and setting the gamepad value to "1".*"

The underlined part should help you out. All you need to do is open the gamepad.txt file in the game's root install directory and change the 0 to a 1. If you want to play with a keyboard and mouse again, just set it back to 0.

Moving this to support.

Hello! Just bought the game and controller won’t work for me. I followed the steps outlined here but it still will not work. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

Okay, I responded. If when you get in game, can you try pressing alt-tab to make sure the game is selected and then try the controller? I just tried an xbox controller on my end and it works fine, so I'm not sure what could be going on. Mine is a wired 360/xbox ONE controller.

I have some stuff to do today so it may take me a bit to reply again, but please know that I'll check back when I get a chance. I'm not ignoring/forgetting about you - just very busy.

BTW for disabling Steam Input you only want to do it for the game by going to properties of game, not in the way you described in the guide just now. The way you described is a global setting. Thanks!
