There's no need to separate the community or call people kids, we're all fans of the same series.
There's no more Google gib$ to dip into. If the game doesn't sell well -- now that it's been emancipated -- it will be lucky to get another tranche of DLC... Let alone, four-player co-op functionality.
>priorities
>ASFAIK, it's not the UMDU engine -- it's UMD2 with a visual upgrade -- likely not four-player compatible
>if the blurbs aren't bullshots, it has "hundreds" of orcs on-screen -- four-player would cause performance problems (as well as lag issues, given there's no LAN or split-screen)
>suggesting that RE aren't already flat-out getting all the non-Stadia SKU's ready for launch
>assuming that the game won't need resources devoted to post-launch debugging for weeks, if not months
>implying that sale numbers won't almost singularly dictate any on-going support

Most of the time we are 3 friends trying to play some games...
The other thing, you can't just 'add more players' - the whole game would need to be designed. It affects everything such as balancing, XP, map design, horde size/timing....
I'll still be playing this game solo regardless though.
