About hardware temps and usage.
Anything up to 85 c is fine, high GPU usage is a good thing in a video game. IDK why people are complaining about these things.
My GPU goes up to 85 c in this game, which is hot but OK.
My FPS is about 150 average with the frame rate limit unlocked.
CPU, RAM, and VRAM usage are all really low.
MY CPU only reaches 50 C because the CPU usage is so low.
I don't see any problems here.

Intel i7-8700K CPU at 4.9 GHz
XFX RX 5700 XT GPU at 2 GHz
Corsair 16 GB DDR4 3600 MHz RAM
Samsung 960 Evo 500 GB SSD
Samsung 870 Evo 1 TB SSD
Asus VG279Q 1080p/144 Hz monitor
Asrock Z370 motherboard
Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 CPU cooler
Be Quiet 140 mm fans
Seasonic GX-850 850 W PSU
Corsair Air 540 case

Well whatever about the specifics of temps and usage, I do however find it kinda nuts that the MENU tends to use 60-70W more power on my GPU than when actually playing the game lol

Been playing with low temps by under-volting my setup got an RX580 8gb ssd ryzen 5 3600 with a horrible prebuilt case i use, under 70c on high-ultra setting 108060 with minor dips during certain waves. id only suggest under-volting if your willing to learn it from someone on YouTube thoroughly. also to add i have a fan setup with generic fans pulling hot exhaust out and away from the back of the tower.

👉 "GameUSerSetting.ini"
👉 Right-click > "open with" > "Notepad"
👉 CTRL+F > "FrameRateLimit="
👉 Change numerical value "XX.000000" to 30, 59, 60, 90, 120... whatever

99% gpu while great in principle, should really not be happening at the main menu...

Not sure Id rate 61C as that hot. Also, you may not bang it, thanks ^_^;

I work with liquids around that temperature and that sounds plenty hot to me. Not sure I could handle sticking it in much more than that tbh. :3

With the recent frying of 3090's in New World, I am very uncomfortable seeing anything above 82C on my (at the time of purchase) 2000$ card. Even though it'd get replaced under warranty (and are in stock to replace) it still makes me uncomfortable.

Well for a 3090 to hit 80+ it would take a bad cooler tbh.
That business with New World is an outlier, plus nvidia should look into why a game was able to spike the power draw as it was doing in that case.
I woulda been fine anyway, as I have a Max fps limit set on a driver level (no reason to go outside monitor range anyway - plus I want to use gsync...). My card is rated to take up to 480W and even when Im pushing it it doesnt go much over 420W/70C - which I dont tend to do often as there just isnt much gain in pumping the power - undervolt and leave it at its deault of 400W is plenty (for me at least).

For human flesh yes that very hot but for metal built to operate at beyond that temperature its fine.

So you are saying I should go cyborg if I want to increase my chances with hot computers in my area? :O

GPU's are meant to get hot, also, the new nvidia GPU's are stupidly inefficient.
