ZAMB! Endless Extermination (altough it's more of a Twin-Stick shooter than a straight Third Person Shooter)
OTTTD
OMDU is kind of an odd recommendation given that the servers are shut down and you haveto do some third party stuff to be able to play it. ^^
Kingdom rush. Free on Android I believe (the first one at least).
1. The rest of "Orcs Must Die!" series, of course. 1 and 2 still hold up today. (I'm not sure if you can still play Unchained.)
2. The "Dungeon Defenders" series. Each hero has their own traps and you can swap between them. In this series stats are very important and are obtained from gear that is dropped at loot during the level.
The "Sanctum" series. Which is more sci-fi and focuses on guns and towers over traps.
3. "Fortified" Has a kind of 1980s comic book theme going for it. You are trying to hold off an alien invasion with main characters like an MIB agent, an Astronaut, etc.
4. "Fortnite: Save the World" Yes, that Fortnite. While the PvP mode is insanely popular, the original but long-neglected PvE mode is in this genre. Build a fort and keep the zombies out.
Other than that there are some titles still in the works like "Toys n' Traps", but we'll have to see how those turn out.
You'll notice a lot of similarities in traps to OMD.

- Fortified
- Deathtrap (isometric perspective)
- Sanctum games (first-person only)
- Yet Another Zombie Defense HD (isometric)
- Ultimate Zombie Defense (isometric)
You can also play sanctum 2d.
But you wont see the combo mechanic anywhere else :/. A lot of game only increase the difficulty by increasing mob hp. The score board only revolve about your dps.
Its more futuristic and you are the alien invader against the earth.
you build tower to defend and can shoot from the air.
X Morph Defense is so fun!
But a lot of people mentioned a lot of good TD games, I've pretty much played them all lol
Kingdom Rush series
Sanctum 1, 2, and Super Sanctum TD (Super Sanctum is retro style, very fun)
Defense Grid: The Awakening and Defense Grid 2
DeathTrap
OMD 1, OMD 2 (of course)
Can't think of anymore haha. TD is my favorite genre though :)
Wrack: Exoverse, which is a roguelite tower defense FPS similar to Sanctum.
Hell Warders is another 3rd person tower defense similar to OMD.
