So is it just impossible to play online then? Because I can't find anyone to match with within my region(united states) and the only way I'm able to find anyone to match with I have to set it to global, at which point it puts me against people with 300+ ping. It's not worth playing when the lag is that bad.

Yes, I have the same issue (Germany). The problem has been acknowledged by SNK but is yet to be fixed. Take a look at other discussions on this board. There are multiple threads regarding this topic. Matchmaking on PC is a broken mess.

For me it's when I set it to global that I can't find anyone, but if I set it to my region I can find people (not as frequently as I wish though).

Unfortunatly, even if there is 2K people playing in the same time, the matchmaking is broken, i hope SNK will fix it, because the Rollback net code work very well, i had some good matchs with 0 to 1 frame, and the game is a freaking damn fun even at low and mid level.

Yeah I know, but when I made this post the most recent ones were people complaining about the dash bug that just got patched. Main reason I got this on PC though was because I watched a Maximilian Dood video where he was talking about PC having the best input latency and just how utterly atrocious the PS5 version was. Looks like I made a mistake, but I already have over 2 hours in the game so can't refund it.

It seems that the first hotfix last month broke the online matchmaking for PC. I really hope that one of the better known FGC content creators raises some awareness about this. All I see is praise for SNK which is very inappropriate at the moment to put it mildly. Honestly, the releases of new DLCs don't get me hyped at all this way. They feel more like a huge middle finger. What does additional content do for me, if I can't play in the first place? SNK needs to be called out for this. It has been a month and nothing got fixed. At this point they are basically stealing money with a broken product like this in the store.

I set to all for everything and 'search while in training mode' and I find people. (In Canada)

Searching without training mode gives me errors more times than not.

Lobby/Rooms seemed to work for me when I tried it.

Hello,

Sometimes by changing the search filters you get more matches, also by Traning Standby you can get some matches instead of directly waiting for the search prompt to finish. When you are in Training Standby a message saying "Found a ranked/casual match opponent appears", then you will need to press the options button to accept or reject the match.

I think we'd rather get real fixes to the netcode rather than these band-aid solution. I hope the devs get it together, it'd be a waste to have this broken netcode for such an amazing game.

Please for the gods, ask SNK Big Boss to add an auto accept matchs options. Somehow im training combos and when that window pop up, i press the decline button and lose my match chance.

It is impossible to pinpoint the core issue as a user. I have tried every possible filter combination in the game. I have searched directly from the menu and from standby training mode. I have tried to find casual, ranked matches and rooms. I have changed my region in my windows settings multiple times, because matchmaking for some odd reason is determined by it. The only way I find any matches at all (with usually unplayable ping) is by setting all available filters to "any". After it usually one of two things happens:

1. I find a match every 30 minutes or so (with 2000 plus players online)
2. I constantly find matches but it is always the same person. As mentioned on a usually unplayable connection.

I do not have any of these issues in any other fighting game that I play on PC. And that includes your own like KOFXIII and 2002UM. Heck, you even have a post (from the 28.02.2021) on this board that mentions "matchmaking issues" as a problem that needs to be addressed.
The problems occurred in my case after the first hotfix as I have mentioned in other discussions here before. That is all info I have for my problems but I certainly am not alone as steam and twitter are plastered with similar complaints. Now, please go out and finally fix it.
