Ingame boss battle fight help needed (SPOILERS!)
I'm currently fighting DJ Cyber "1v1", and he is using this big machine to jump around the roof
I have ZERO clue how to beat him, I tried to look all around the arena for clues
Whenever I get close to him he just jumps away, cant attack
Using the jets doesn't work, cant spray paint him, nothing works
I opened the post pod but its unrelated to the fight

Anyone reached this part and beat him already?

Solution:
DEFLECT THE VINYLS WITH ATTACKS. Kinda dumb how this mechanic wasn't introduced earlier in game, or any hint message given regarding it

Man this fight is so hilariously bad and clunky. Not only do you have to time the deflection, but you also have to AIM it awkwardly with your 3rd person camera. And as you say, it's introduced without any sort of hint, so you are left running around in circles thinking you fight him like literally everything else you have fought before. I can imagine most people's thought processes being: ouch those disks hurt (the same disks that cut your head off), I guess I should dodge them and close the gap! Maybe I should spray paint him! Maybe I just jump on top of him with these CONSPICUOUSLY PLACED JUMP PADS! A person might accidentally discover that they can deflect the disks when trying to see if they can punch the MF-er before he flies away instantly. Comparatively, the mall mech had a way better gameplay design that meshed with the rest of the game's mechanics.

Seems that you don't actually have to aim them, they just sometimes miss...

This fight was such a pain in the butt, like what a b*tch move to accept a 1v1, then hop into that stupid tank and jump away like a wimp while attacking from range... Garbage boss fight with garbage mechanic that's not fun at all and only serves to frustrate.

Yeah I had no clue what to do and was just chasing him around in circles dying over and over wondering what the hell I missed.

It would be nice if you were given a hint via text message or something.

Hey thanks, I just spent 15 minutes trying to graffiti him (Which is what we do for every other robotic enemy) only to discover that I'm expected to try and deflect the discs that were sharp enough to cut a man's head clean off at the start of the game.

Love this game, but man sometimes it needs some serious work in explaining what it expects you to do.

Gosh... I seriously wish they left any sort of combat OUT of the game. I couldn't care less if JSR also has boss fights. The combat really takes away from what the game is actually about, especially when a single graffiti equals to a threat level.

There's not much they can do about the awful boss battles, but I hope they release an update that either minimizes how quickly we build up threat or an option to flat out disable it, even if it's only an option after you finish the game.

Literally looked it up and spent 10 mins hitting the disks at him. Not 1 of them hit. Probably around 70 disks miss. Idk what I'm doing wrong

I had this issue and had to restart the game. Once I came back the discs would hit 100% of the time. Almost gave up on the game entirely due to this boss being not only poorly designed but straight up broken.

the only problem I had with DJ Cyber was the second part of the fight, sometimes he just wouldn't stop driving the mech even when he wasn't visible anymore on my camera view and he would start throwing discs from behind a pillar or wall.

I beat that part, but I still don't understand when he comes out to throw discs or for how long, that was the only problem I experienced with the fight.

As deflecting the discs, yeah, I agree with the criticism there.. A big question is why didn't they give Police something like this in their enemy design, that you could deflect back at them? That would've made it clearer that DJ Cyber's discs could be deflected with tricks because otherwise, I don't know how you're supposed to figure that one out. I figured it out by accident while doing some tricks on the rails.
