No, the game is finished so far and only gets bug fixes here and there, if necessary. The game has been actively developed for 3 years and at some point the development is finished. Mad Games Tycoon 2 is not a service game!
However, if the multiplayer or anything else does not work as desired, Eggcode Games will take care of it.
i wonder what next eggcode will cook
"End of development" and "dead game" are not the same thing. A lot of people still play Skyrim, or even its prequels. A lot of people still play Fallout 3, or even the 2D ones. A lot of people still enjoy Capitalism 1 and 2.

And every year or so, I'll play a run of Ascendancy.

Look'em up, they're not dead, for good reasons, and MGT 2 will probably also stay alive for a while.

I guess modern gamers are too used to the format of "keep adding DLCs and 'new' content for a decade so we can keep milking people out of money" that way too many dev teams use.

Well, it's a nice game that we (meaning only the fans, of course!) will certainly enjoy. It will probably even be based on the UE5. That will be great!

How about fixing the multiplayer region limitation then? Players from different download regions can't play together.

I don't know anything about it and maybe Eggcode doesn't know anything about it either. I will write to Eggcode about this and see if this problem can be fixed.

There may well be an MGT3 one day, but the next game from Eggcode Games will not be MGT3.

If the developer, one day, decides do make a MGT3 I hope for a better inovation in terms of game mechanics: MGT2 is marginally better then MGT1, and I think this in not a good business model - make sequeles that are just a little better then the previous. Just read the negative reviews, they are all about this issue. There's lot of room for game mechanics improvement without even adding more content.
