CROSSBOW: Bloodnight

This is a fun single-player arena shooter to pick up and play for a few minutes now and again.

The premise of CROSSBOW: Bloodnight is simple: use your incredibly powerful crossbow to defeat continuously spawning enemies until you either reach the end or are killed. Leaderboards are ranked by the amount of time survived, creating a goal of staying alive as long as you can. Your crossbow has 3 different firing modes, which implements a need for "think on your feet"-style strategy.

Graphics are good, sound design and controls are good, gameplay is quick and frantic, the Lovecraft-ish style and gothic background music is great, and the game runs very solidly.

Fast, fun, and cheap, this is a fun little diversion to sink a few minutes into now and again. Heck, I'd even like to see this expanded into a sequel.

This is especially recommended for fans of Devil Daggers.
