Dropping items, no honest merchant from DS3 in ER?

Honestly, i am kinda confused. Because when i play DS3 there's so many people willing to drop even the most outrageous items and in ER there's too little people doing that. Hell, even there's a thread that made by someone to be help just by commenting the thread in here, this helps include : dropping items, helping bosses, walkthrough an area. So, my theory is there's no mods like honest merchant from DS3 in ER and that's why there's so little people dropping items in ER.

I think there is a big lack of understanding how EAC and Souls game in offline mode with mods works.

I have used Grand Merchant mod in the past to make different characters and help people in online play.
I have played more than 50h with this chars over 2years in online with EAC and no ban.

Offline cheating for dropping items for people masqued as legal acquisition is cheating and the receiver is cheating by proxy. This is very common practice. I personally would never accept drops from unknown actors.

Offline cheating for PvP, especially duping in rare consumables is blatant cheating and very scumbag behavior. The lowest standard is for creating twinks. This is unfortunately also very common occurrence.

This is more serious than it seems, since were the systems more tailored for online play, like save files stored on server like MMOs, all actors involved in such activity would be banned. It's up to each ones mind how much tainted they want their playing to be.

1.) i never traded any merchant or cheat engine items to anyone
2.) i never did pvp

Also not advising anything to anyone just stating facts.
i did use Grand Merchant mod in the past to get weapons i want from the start.

for example 2x VULGAR MILITIA SAW that can be farmed from the little mens but would take 30min to 2h depending on your luck to get 2x

i then used this char to help people fight Godrick as Co-op Helper.

I later played this char further and have helped Poeple at Morgott and later at Malenia.
over the 2 years this char did 50h of co-op help on different bosses
using 2 milita saw weapons spawned with grand merchant mod.

This char never got banned
never got flagged.

I cant even say anything about if you get banned with cheat engine items online
since i have never used a cheat engine item online in my life....
100% of the items and chars i used cheat engine to practice with were always offline
and always used on seperate copies of save files !

-A mod is manipulating the configuration file of a game that is loaded on game start.
- cheat angine is hooking into the running game and manipulates hex values in real time

these are completely different things and Sparhawk58 mixing them up only shows he has 0 idea about this topic

Is the problem and im typing this knowing enough honest to god PVPers who hate the current state of Elden Ring PVP.......Worst thing is Shadow of the Erdtree introduced easily farmable versions of the most used PVP consumables like eternal sleep greases and pots, rot hefty pots and more, making cheating not just vile also a token of extreme lazyness.

It's weird how they decided to integrate the most arbitrary handfuls of stuff to be bell bearing purchasable. I don't think there's an ideal solution though either. Make them purchasable, people will buy them and dupe them forever. Make them expensive, and people just dupe the runes.

You still have to loot some extremly common reagents that respawn after grace resting, so with the new bells selling some of the reagents like fly mold for hefty rot pots and....lets say 20 mins of farming scarlet buds near Romina church you can have a fully rot loaded character for hours of invasions.

It just takes a little more effort than crafting sweet raisin for Torrent.....after you loot the mold bell. If thats not enough to stop them from cheating man....i dont know what else From can do.

Like in the past when you said you would play online with me but cant since i used cheat engine....

many people who got banned for using mods or cheat engine are just incredible stupid.

GinoMachino has been using cheat engine in Dark Souls 3 , Sekiro and Elden Ring for 7 years and also played lots of online pvp ( but ofc not with the cheat engine chars)
and never got banned !
Never in 7 years with 1000s of hours on cheat engine chars and 1000s of hours on legit chars online doing PvP and PvE coop help.

Distortion2 the same.

If you know how these programs work then you know how you can use them in a way that nobody gets harmed and you cant get banned.

But people give themself 999 Ancient Dragon stones + all the quest items without having done the quests and... then go online and wonder why they get banned. T_T

and with Sparhawk i am just fed up since he says so many wrong things...
he said you have to delete seamless coop items when you convert a seamless coop save into normal save...

but the seamless coop items get injected through a .dll during game start
and get auto deleted once you close the game.
they are only on your char when the .dll for this items is used which obviously is not the case when you start the game without this dll

He has shown over and over that he has 0 knowledge about software and how all these programs work and i just have enough of an old man giving wrong information because he understands nothing
