Deeproot is pretty much optional so i already skipped them so idc much. They still need a huge nerf. Cant beat them without summon ppls.
Also, iIrc, you can summon D's twin brother if you gave D's armor to him.
anyways, be patient and always be ready to run from the poison. when the first Gargoyle goes to half health the other comes in, but stick with the first until he's dead. if you can, you can delay your spirit ashes until after the first is dead, that should give you some leeway for the second Gargoyle.
You should have a decent strike option anyway for stuff like this and Crystalians. I use Morning Star on my builds. Low req, bleed, scales well with DEX or STR and you can get it very early.
Other than that you can still fight both they're not that hard to dodge as long as you always keep one of them between you and the other. But there will be so few opening it will take forever.
Honestly just use some low req magic or a summon. There's no reason to beat your head against the wall here.
Also, you can reach Deep Root Depths through Leyndell sewers. For which you'll have to fight Mohg instead.
Edit: Perhaps it had lower stat, but I didn't notice much difference personally
Summons outside the boss gate increase boss health.
Summons inside (ashes) don't. So obviously you're gonna burn it down faster that way.
But it's a typical DPS check. How fast can you kill the first, until the second has a chance.
Other than that, I think ranged magic is pretty good to finish off the first one.
But, while we see Godskin Duo unchanged in all the time, there's probably no hope, that Gargoyles get tweaked first. :P
