which director would you pick for an Elden Ring movie?

if i had to pick a director for an Elden Ring movie i'd go with Robert Eggers or David Lowery. both have shown they could really nail the Elden Ring vibe with their films, Lowery's The Green Knight and Eggers' The Northman are prime examples. i choose both cause it's tough to choose between them but i might lean a bit more towards Eggers. comparing The Northman and The Green Knight is tricky, both have their strengths, but Eggers is known for his dark eerie style, so if Lowery passed on the project i wouldn't mind Eggers taking the reins. but if Lowery jumped on board, i’d be totally cool with that too.

Edit: my next question, which bosses do you think should definitely be in the movie? i'd be satisfied just to see Godrick, Godfrey, Gideon, Mohg, Malenia, Placidusax, and Radagon with Elden Beast.

Movie adaptations of video games suck donkey balls always, might as well make it as trashy as possible so there could at least be some small redeeming cult factor ("it's so bad it's good!") instead of the 100% generic, same-y Hollywood slop we'd be getting otherwise that's exactly like all the other movies but with Elden Ring CGI.

was expecting this, i mean Elden Ring definitely has some vibes from The Lord of the Rings, not sure if the creators have talked about it in interviews or anything cause i don't really keep up with that stuff. also, if i remember correctly his daughter is getting into directing too so maybe they could team up or something, but, The Lord of the Rings was full of humor so i’m not sure if i’d want to see that kind of stuff in an Elden Ring movie, but yeah he could be a solid choice.

he's my fave, but can't see him directing an Elden Ring movie.

Either Stahelski/Leitch if it should focus on the action, or Villeneuve because he would actually make an effort to understand the lore and create a good representation of the setting.

i get your point but with Donald Trump as president now, he's likely to shake things up with all that woke ♥♥♥♥, so who knows.

interesting, yeah i’m familiar with their work but, idk if they can pull off a fantastic Elden Ring movie given their backgrounds but if i had to pick between the two and same category of directors, i’d go with Zack Snyder.
