Some messages are tips left to help people, while others are meant to mislead people. Other messages are just comments to either congratulate your success or to warn you that the next fight is difficult. You don't have to read them, but there are many that do help if you're trying to figure out what to do.
Especially the comments that are placed by trolls to hinder interaction with levers and other in-game mechanics. Why in the world didn't Fromsoft make an entity in the engine that could be placed in an area that hindered player comments designed to interrupt interaction in these areas? I've modeled a bunch of maps with these entities, so I know they have to be there and can prove so with areas that are off limits to summons in coop. Why are they not implemented?
I hate spoilers when exploring. And not a fan of the unhelpful ones.
They have the look of litter at a poorly abused picnicking spot. You dread what you are going to see.
