Nevermind. Did not read that you are looking for some speedrun glitch.
There's also glitches any%, which des not permit using (most) glitches (most because it has been a while since I last checked how the ruling considering glitches any% was). It's really a consensus the speedrunning community agreed upon at some point.
But if someone cheats to do something not speedrunning orientated like pvp glitches etc its not ok?
Im confused.last time i checked cheating was still cheating.
Why cant people just speedrun the honest way without abusing glitches?
However, making use of glitches/exploits is, depending on the category. There are glitchless categories and those which permit the use of glitches.
Then again, speedrunning has nothing to do with pvp. Those are two entirely different parts of the souls community which operate independently from each other.
You know, seeing you psychotically oscillate between some weird elitism to being mad about people who "play game real good" in a way you don't like is definitely something. Have a clown.
I'm pretty sure it's a bit, tbh.
If it was a bit and I fell for it, shame on me. If it was a genuine question, I hope I could shed some light on the issue.
A glitch would entail, for example, clipping through textures - something that is an oversight and wasn't made possible on purpose.
A skip, on the other hand, is a legitimate way of creating shortcuts through either intentional level design or player's knowledge of the game. Sometimes both.
As someone who has speed run games before, I definitely recognize that. But this is also someone, the person you're speaking to, who likes to grief people for their perceived skill at these games. So there's a very funny contradiction going on here. And, frankly, it just doesn't pass the smell test with an account like that.
Or is it the other way around?
