i can't figure this guy out at all, he just kills me no matter what i do and i can't break his poise to save my life, he's harder than the bosses...

I usually just slap a ranged skill on my weapon when a melee opponent is too annoying. Storm blade is pretty good - pretty much converts a melee build into ranged with no effort.

Well, he's a Tarnished enemy, so the only stance-breaks you'll be able to get is through parrying.

My personal strategy is to use a Rotten Battle Hammer with a Poison-affinity Lion's Claw. If I can't land that many hits in, I might as well try to get one or both damage-over-time status effects on them.

Passwords don't do anything outside of circumventing matchmaking restrictions, you will be invaded regardless.

god i hate invaders that waste my time but at least i wasted a good bit of his
