Somber smithing stone 7

Is volcano manor
The only place where its possible to get a somber smithing stone 7 early?
i cant for the life of me make that jump...
Been at it for 3 hours now, had my daughter try for an hour as well
No luck
And yes i know about sprinting and holding sprint while jumping

This jump has been patched and is now significantly harder.
Not impossible but very very hard.

The ledge on that fence was trimmed back, so there's not enough area to accommodate the character, landing on it will just result falling down right away. This change came with patch 1.04. you will either kill the godskin noble in Volcano Manor to get to it, or get it from Leydnell.

I got the ones in Nokstella Eternal City as I had already been there for Ranni's questline.

EDIT: Just saw you said 'early'. This probably doesn't fit, but I pushed through Ranni's questline, and was definitely underleveled, but made it through Astel and all.

Why bother to jump if there is in fact a legit way to get it?

cause you have to fight godskin noble :)

but tbh with a +6 somber weapon this should not be too big of a problem
the only reason speedrunners dont do it is because it overall takes ~ 2minutes time.
And speedrun records are so tight that you for sure cant spare 2 extra minutes ;)

fighting one of them shouldn't be a problem. its just a longer way to travel. but if one really wants to get the stone (given its the only one at that stage of the game), its worth the time to get it through the other side.

As for hardest jump that is after Mogh lord of blood doing frenzied ending

None of the legitimate jumping puzzles are as hard as this skip jump, it has to be pixel perfect. I wasted 2h of my life fruitlessly checking if I can do it too.

It's unfortunately true, and I don't understand why From had to tinker with it, as we still have to go all the way to Volcano Manor to get it.

Is there a legit way to get there? If I remember correctly the only other access I could find was a shortcut into the manor opened from this side. I figured the jump was the only way to get to it...?

I accidentally found that it's much easier to make the jump when you are heavy instead of medium/light. Was bouncing off with no armor on and noticed when I was heavy I was "almost" sticking it more. Still gotta line up and time jump perfectly. Try it out.
Just remember not to try to roll when you get it, just jump and run.
