Elden Ring isn't a 'one build fits all':
People struggling, or just complaining about the difficulty... if you're bashing your head against a boss over and over with the same gear, the same build and the same tactics; just remember that the reason Elden Ring provides so many different options is so you can adapt to different challenges.

Might be worth reminding yourselves that the game has:
- Spirit Ashes
- Sorceries and Incantations
- Bleed/Frostbite/Rot/Sleep
- Different weapon types and damage types

I'll be plain and honest about this - Elden Ring and the DLC are not difficult if you're willing to just adapt to the fight. I have stuck to one build most of the way through, and so far I've changed the whole build twice - Bayle and Divine Beast. Using a light-armoured greathammer build just wasn't working out for me.

Switched it up to something more appropriate for the boss and they were both much easier.

The game gives more than enough tools for you to manage. Instead of screaming at it, try adapting.

Unga bunga smash fits all.

idk I changed my build around like 8 times to try out as much as I could and every boss ended up being significantly easier with the cold infusion fast weapon + heaviest armor combo

only boss I would change it for is the flower boss cause it's weaker to fire

I just hit it with a big sword and throw fire at it and hope it dies, but different strokes for different folks

True. Sometimes a man's build is too OP to fit in, it happens, but there's always a chance to succeed if he works it in a little. I recommend trying just the tip.

Say that to my trusty Claymore. The real Boss for me is the janky framerate that is all over the place.

how does this post have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clown on it? OP just explained how to solve the game to people who are struggling

that's enough forum for me, today

there is also a lot of souls players that are against the very idea of using spirit ashes and NPC summons
like if you beat a boss with those it's not legit or something ?

it's literally playing with what is available in the game
hell you can even do some coop if you don't trust the NPC's

They don't want to adapt. They want to face tank bosses and come out on top, just like your typical assassins creed God of war arpg nonsense game. Hard means dying more than 3 times to them. They want to summon 5 mimics in to do the fighting then brag about how good they are.

This is the first souls game with an easy mode and people still ♥♥♥♥♥ about it, smh sad.

I'm fairly sure this is a good advice and some players should listen to it.

Personally, I'm going to be stubborn and see how far I can go with a fake one-build-fits-all (aka. just dodging and hitting with my weapon until enemy dies, no spell, no buff, no summon).

er has so many more options when it comes to movement, evasion and tanking i think it's actually mental people just keep smashing their face 2hrs on a boss with the same "roll 5 times get one hit in" build

whatever floats their boat ig

If changing how you play works for

It will work for you.

Nonono, you don't get it. If you are using literally anything except rolls and attacks, you are not playing the game *correctly*. You see, Fromsoftware make all the gear, tools, consumables, summons, ashes just to tempt you into the Primordial Sin of casuality. And the True Gamers are the ones clear of Sin.

I'm glad from didn't back down from making the DLC challenging, but it is disappointing seeing how much it's spurred the worst parts of this community. People just refuse to accept that different things are fun for different people.

It's a casual RPG meant to give you a power fantasy, with countless different tools and weapons so just about anyone can play the way they want. It's not meant to be a competition of who beats X boss the most "legit" way. No other game lets me wield a massive ♥♥♥♥ off sword while also firing fire nukes and dodging colossal snakes coming out of portals. That's fun to me, and I'm sure fighting alongside spirit ashes or real human allies is probably equally badass to some people as well.

Honestly I don't trust people who play souls purely for the difficulty, I think their taste in games are shot. Play with what looks fun because you'll be satisfied when your choice of equipment is what killed the boss, not because you think it'll make you look more valid to internet trolls.
