Your biggest disapointments in the game?
Edit: made another thread doing the opposite about things you liked:

Either an item, a boss, some mechanic, etc.

For me its probably the Dragon Greatclaw and Dragonclaw Shield.

Fromsoft straight up already did the perfect version of that hammer, it was the Dragonslayer Greataxe in DS3, they just had to copy paste the AoW, but nah, it has freaking Endure, what a massive letdown of a weapon, after seeing how the boss uses it.

The shield itself could have use an ancient version of Honed Bolt like the boss does.

Doesnt help that the Malformed Dragon set itself looks pretty terrible if you ask me.

So yeah, everything related to this boss is just one disappointment after another.

That i dont enjoy no death runs in ER.

Every time i wanne start i think about running through the world for over 1 hour to collect all the free items and upgrades only to feel OP early on.
I need to force myself to clear whole areas before iam allowed to move on.

So the open world aspect has a huge downside for me personal.
Its fun at first, but loses more and more with every playthrough, so much of the side content is skipable or a just a solid timesink.

i'd say either how samey and boring dungeons felt after doing just a few. I was really looking forward to them before launch, but after a day or two they really started to bore me. If that doesn't count as a mechanic, then crafting is, at best, utterly tedious. It adds nothing but busy work. Thankfully, you can just buy most things eventually but the whole mechanic should just be ditched.

Yeah i can see that, and tbh, no death runs arent as impressive in this game if you do use everything the game gives you.

Thats the funny thing about ER, its crazy hard if you play it in Old Souls fashion, such as not using the Spirit Ashes, but if you do use everything, ER might be the easiest souls game

I agree, crafting was hardly even needed in this game, would prefer to just buy everything, which hilariously enough, we cant, feathers, rot boluses, etc.

many of the weapons that feel like they were just pushed in for bloat and nothing else

they're done so poorly that they feel like a low effort mod

If I had to pick a single one it would be crystal sword. A somber weapon with literally nothing special about it and a waste of asset

I agree with you on the Draconic Tree Sentinel gear, Dollmaker.

For me it's that there's no real Great Club :(
And no, in my opinion, the big stick you find in Old Altus Tunnel doesn't count. It's not infusible, also split damage with the worst elemental damage type.

Edit:
I just realized, that's not the biggest disapointment I have with Elden Ring.
But I sure miss my beloved.

Carian knight sword. One of the best fashion souls wep with a generic aow, whose damage with said aow is lower than any other wep set to magic with the genric version, and its r2 is meant to be used in lieu of a shield when using a staff, but it has weak guard boost and damage negations. Its only saving grace is that it deals more damage with its r1 chain than a magic infused straight sword.

The absence of boss rush mode. Bosses' "souls" are even called Rememberances, for Marika's sake, let me fight them again without resorting to mods.

Speaking of bosses, Radagon not getting a proper second phase is a crime against the Erdtree.

Also, Great Runes. Excellent idea, terrible execution.

Malenia's anime tornado attack. It looks incredibly stupid.

PvP. I'm fully aware that people are capable of beating the odds in a 3v1 situation where 2 shots will kill you... But, that's a tiny minority of the playerbase. It feels like invasions are terribly balanced and it creates a barrier where only the elite level players can take part without getting whooped. If you speak up you get the old "skill issue" or "git gud" which is just not helpful and completely dismisses 90% of the playerbase who feel like the odds are stacks too highly against them.

How mini dungeons are are exactly the same

I would like the arrows to work according to the character's attributes, I think it would make room for more themed builds, like sacred elves

No 3v3 PvP hotspot. Twink Central and Gank City were awesome.

:zagsad:
