For Summons, some are better then others. Crystal summons have high defense, so they could be good if you have one. Mimic is only good if its build is also good. Whatever you use, for a fight like that it would also have to be leveled up pretty high.
I generally summon a good tank summon such as Lhutel, kristoff, greatshield soldiers, or Leyndell soldiers to distract one of the knights while I deal with the other one (most other summons don't last very long, not even mimic). Then its just a race to see if you can kill one of them before your summons eventually die.
You could also try skeletal militia, but make sure they aggro on the spear knight. The reason being the shield knight is the most likely to kill them via collateral damage.
Last resort strategy...backpedal circles around the room while waiting for openings to get the occasional hit in one whichever one is in front (both will approach you, but only one will be really aggressive about it, the other will kind of hang back).
Do you have the Mimic? and or at least tier 8 rats, or a bigger horde ash at a higher level.
Mimic will hold out far longer than most individual summons, while ashes that summon hordes, do really well on spreading out the damage.
My mimic would get the other crucible knight down to about half health before it dies, while I beat on the other, most times I didn't kill one fast enough, and got overwhelmed, but after learning a few attack patterns it went down fast.
There is where you went wrong (tho I believe maybe you find a ultra super defensive set and build that may tank you through it.
While you might not be able to replicate what the person in the video does exactly, watching how they do it can dispel a lot of mystery of what to do in order to succeed.
I ended up getting lucky when the one with the spear did it's big jump attack three times in a row. It got him far enough away from the other one enough times that I could get rid of him. Then I summoned the mimic tear and it was a 2v1 fight. Still, if I hadn't gotten that lucky, I don't know if I ever would have beaten them.
