Also, incantations or spells that have an area of effect, like Giantsflame Take Thee are slow to cast but might hit for high damage, even when your aim was a little off.
There is so much lore, but more lore in general you can piece together by reading the item descriptions of items you find throughout the game. Some of it is related to enemies (bosses mostly).
The former is immediately available when you start the game if you know where to go. Not the most accurate spell, but it has long range, huge poise damage, and is generally great against large creatures. The latter is from a boss kill you need a fair bit of progression for, and has become my go-to for... well, most things really, it hits crazy hard against small targets, but absolutely obliterates large ones.
And no, no bestiary, Souls games are always very sparse on information. You generally have to piece together little tidbits of information from item descriptions and what little exposition the game gives. Or wait for a Youtuber to do it for you and present it in a neat little package.
I don't want to be that guy but dragons are sitting ducks
These are things I loved about games like witcher, ME, pathfinder and grim dawn. Asmongold said it feels like walking into a painting, and damn when I walked through the Nokron, it really was so. Would be nice to get that lore immersion too
