Drop your most positive takes here.
Let's share some opinions on things that are good about the game.

Here's mine, FROM's addition of the map, map markers, and the ability to favorite Sites of Grace were very well implemented. They don't give you an overly busy map like many other openworld RPGs do, but still give all the information you would need to navigate the game comfortably. Adding NPC markers to the map was a very good decision.

(BTW for those who didn't know, you can favorite SoGs and add them to a special menu that you access with the Y/Triangle button. I added the RoundTableHold and the different vendors to it so i don't have to search for them on the map!)

I love swappable weapon arts (ashes of war).

In spite of its many flaws (technical and design-wise), this is by far some of the most fun I've ever had playing any game in over 30 years. And as I'm wrapping up my first playthrough I can't help but fantasize of future builds, wonder about things I've missed and gleefully piece everything I've experienced together in my mind to make sense of the whole world and story.

Kudos From Software. BOTW did a nice reimagining of the OG Legend of Zelda concept but Elden Ring took that old concept, turned it upside down and spat a crab-filled rotted swamp of a masterpiece in its stead and I couldn’t be happier for it. Thank you very much to everyone who worked on this game and I hope there's more incoming. Plenty of clouds on that map that could be covering a nice new area.

they made parrying worthwhile, most bosses get shut down hard with parrying, but also punish you greatly for mucking it up, making it super satisfying to get good at but also super punishing for messing up.

Radhan, I love the dude, he is the most epic character From software ever made.

Bow build is completely viable and a lot of fun.

How do you manage the economy of arrows?

How do you manage the economy of arrows?

For the first half I relied mainly on just buying 20-rune arrows, it only costs about 14k to get the full stack of 699 which will take you pretty far. I didn't exclusively use the bow, so I had a backup melee weapon in case I ran out.

Later on (around capital/mountaintops), I started making big stacks of lightning and bleed arrows. At that point I had the bell bearing to buy beast bones, and there's a good spot to quickly farm flight pinions in Siofra.

At this point (snowfield) I've got full 699 stacks of lighting and bleed arrows and it's not that much work to keep them filled.

Most recently I downed Godfrey, Margott, Niall, and fire giant with just the bow.

It costs 400,000 runes, to fire this blackbow, for twelve seconds...

Very cool, thanks for that, I'll give it a try.

Beautiful Game.
Copious Amount of Content (But most of it is OPTIONAL.)
More versatility in builds than ever
beautiful player models
Interesting boss designs
Lots of ending choices (Despite a few being reskins.)
