ELDEN RING
Anybody feel a little disappointed with Elden Beast?
Radagon I would say is a great designed boss hard but in all the best ways. Fast moves, long combos but with enough opportunities to actually retaliate unlike some other bosses. Then you finally kill radagon and you see the Elden Beast arise out of the floor and you're thinking this is it only for it to run away from you the entire fight completely sucking all the fun out of it. Visually a very beautiful boss music is very nice but the fight just gets idk kinda tedious i guess. You would think the literal god of the erdtree would idk actually fight you instead of running away.

What do you all think?

Radagon and the first eldenlord were great. elden beast as an endboss is a big dissapointment
Phase 1 of that fight is fine but my disappointment with Elden Beast phase is only in the artificial difficulty being injected by having to chase it across the arena which makes it feel tedious.

Elden Lord's second phase was kind of stupid imo. Dunno why they decided to give him a phase change.
I really dislike this boss and still feel :steamsalty: . I got so discouraged to the point of not wanting to continue to NG+ even after beating it. I dont like the arenas as well. Both Radagon's and Elden Beast's arenas are very plain and boring. I was so excited to see the inside of the erdtree and the fact that we never do is so stupid. The elden beast was not hard and I spent much more time on Malenia and Margit than this flying paramecium. But in the end the most frustration I have felt were those 10 maybe 15 times I died to it, many of which died alongside the elden beast. For those still frustrated with this boss - apparently ice hatchet's stomp spam can stop him from running away. If you have enough fp and stamina you can just stomp him to death at one go. But in the end elden ring is an amazing game and the fact that we all are so passionate about it just shows how much Fromsoft made us care about their games.

I thought the beast was perfect, it made sense that a flying monster god would actually fly and use ranged attacks on you. I remember bosses with wings in older from games that would just try to stomp you in melee range, and you just sat on his ass. Boring.
I'm disappointed by its looks. To look dangerous it should be more "pointy". The roundness makes it look cute

Probably if you play ranged you'll have a different experience, but i was in with a bloodhound step weapon and the fight very reasonable, even with a weapon that wasn't meta at all.
not too different, the thing likes to run far beyond the reach of bows and spells. Worse for spells imo because if you don't pace yourself, you're bound to run out of both fp and flasks.

Yes, very disappointing. Having to run after that thing with summons is such a pain. Not that going solo makes things better from what I hear, since you can't ride Torrent during the fight.
