ELDEN RING
The Leyndell Catacombs
That place was amazing!

The first thing that I saw there was some acid puke raining over some kind lidless sarcophagus full of putrid ♥♥♥♥, moving maggots and, probably, some dissolved remains of more than one person in the midst of this foul soup surrounded by water on the ground as corpses started to rise groaning.

Somewhere else I saw a summoner albino snail lol

Then I started to see the flowers around when I was trying to leave the place and I thought "Strange, it wasn't there before..." Then new zombies and the rooms felt slightly different from earlier. I smiled "This place has changed!", I was certain it did.

I saw then a boss door open, inside was one of those fat Sekiro's guys with his back to the door. Was too convenient and so I stopped. Looked around and suddenly a *woooshh* to a *clang* of metal hitting the ground, my head was almost felled by another fat guy behind the door.

Finished them off, I was a bit bothered by the fact that the boos' room did not had a boss. So I turned back trying to make my way out, but the place was, once again, different lol
After wandering for a little while, I came to the real boss room, a bleed fellow with a couple of dogs.

Man, that dungeon was very good and clever. I played through it offline because of the ultrawide mod, so I had no pools of blood, no ghosts and no messages on the ground, finding the secret wall and the items felt very rewarding that way. I really liked this place, wish we had more like those.
The other dungeons were bad for my tastes, just this one and the one that involves light to fight some shadow creatures and the chariots one to make them hit each other lol
I was amazed when that happened to me. I was just running then everything started to break around lol

It was a heck of a mind trip. I had so many wth moments. And what also surprised me is how long it just kept going.

It wasn’t like a one off “oh this door is a wall now” no, it lasted the rest of the dungeon and I spent more than a bit of time lost and unsure of where to go.

I was very confused, a bit worried about being trapped, concerned if my supplies would last, etc. and I loved every second of it. It was such a welcome change from how many plain and same-ish dungeons I had seen up to that point.

The first time I played this dungeon, I was just like wtf is happening here. And then I see the albino snail, and I'm like what the hell is this dinosaur doing here??

I'm glad you had such a great experience here. That boss room fake out was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ great. Without spoiling too much, there's at least one other dungeon that's gonna ♥♥♥♥ with your head.

Props to you on figuring out the secret walls. I play online and most hidden walls are flagged. But there are a few I figured out on my own (e.g. the snail) and when you find it, it feels so utterly rewarding :praisesun:

Oh, man, thanks! The snail was easy because I kept listening to its sound coming from beyond the walls somewhere haha Another dungeon had those flowers in front of the wall and, sometimes, was a secret wall, so now I hit every wall behind a flower xD

Oh it makes sounds!? That's so cool. And dude, I love that bit lol learning more about the game and what might be hidden (even if you're neurotically hitting every flower wall).

without spoiling, there's this one puzzle/clue in the game that I could not figure out. Fastforward like 100 hours, I stumble onto a secret later in the game. And I'm like wait...there are secrets like this? lol I went back to that puzzle, and behold, bingo, so now I know to look out for that every time just in case XD

It does make sound! Besides the its spell being cast, it does something like ooze moving about xD

How was that puzzle you found later?

You know now when I think about it, the idea that they make noise does come up later in the game, but I never noticed it XD.

Basically there was a message that referenced a hidden cellar. I searched the area, high and low, and could not find it.

It never occurred to me that the game has illusory floors :) I found multiple illusory floors way later in the game in a similar type of region, and it occurred to me that maybe there was way back that led to the hidden cellar. And it does!

You can also waalk around spamming Morgot's Shackle. It even lowers all totems in range and raises them making it far more convenient than arrows to do so and a great way to kill mobs. Its range mind you is massive and can even hit totems several floors and rooms away. It doesn't hit mobs as far though, but it will aggro mobs just be warned meaning a mob might not be in its sleep state when you discover it which has some uses and some inconveniences.

Yes, that's how I felt too! Was such a change! I felt very bored doing those dungeons before because if you have seem one, you have seem all and they were part of my criticism for the game, but this one, man, this one! They did something nice with what they had. Best dungeon so far for me.
You think that's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥? There's a dungeon in the mountain of giants that will really have you questioning your sanity by the end. Especially if you get lost.
There's actually a few of them like that. One is filled with enemy jars and a bunch of teleporter chests. I got lost in it for a while trying to find my way back out lol

Guessing thats the one that is like two dimensions nor something where they have alternate versions of each room lol
This was the only catacombs dungeon I enjoyed...
