Azur Staff or Carian glintstone staff?

I'm running a spellblade build. Mostly swords. The thing is, Azur is great for the cast speed, but the extra FP cost is kind of too much... Is the Carian Glintstone staff better at max upgrade? Did Adula's Moonlight benefit from it?

Almost 15% extra damage on those 4 spells. It's a way easy to scale better with that bonus. Also, using 2 staffs doesn't let me cover myself with a sword/shield. I just need one.

What is your glintblade staff spellpower (and what level is it) and how much int do you have?
And what level is you carian regal in comparison?

Regal scepter. neutral staff and should get it to max first.

Lustat staff. High FP high damage staff. highest scaling staff. Use this if you use cheap fast spells alot like GS pebble. 7FP pebble will become 9FP but with more damage.

Azur staff. I see this as for pvp only and will upgrade it last.

I'm using the Carrian glintstone the one that boosts sword sorceries. Its my main source of damage with slicer when I go melee. Just got it to 25 I have the INT and MND for Lusat and Regal, but I prefer glintstone.

Carian Crystal Sceptre for mobbing, Lusat's for bossing. Since you'll most likely nuke a boss with a 10sec infinite fp + spell buff, Lusat's extra fp cost can be ignored for a bit.

If anybody is interested, I believe Prince of Death's staff has the highest sorcery scaling of all staves by a fair margin, although it only starts to outshine the others at very high intelligence and faith stats (like 80+ for both).

Carian Regal Scepter was my choice of staff.

I avoided the Azur's Glintstone Staff due to the extra FP cost and it didn't seem important to reduce casting time (not to mention it wasn't reduced by much).

Don't know what the max boost on the Carian Glintstone Staff is.

That is a lot of extra runes and levels. May work for something like NG+ or a hybrid build, imho, but not for a pure sorcerer I think.

Prince of Death's Staff seems to be strongest staff statically. But It's all 100% build dependant.

I tested on character with even stats (80 in all stats).

Using Glintstone Icecrag on giants in mountain valley.

Prince of Death's Staff - 1500 damage
Lusat's Glintstone Staff - 1400 damage
Carian Regal Scepter - 1350 damage.
Albinauric Staff - 1300 damage

Any of the above are fine for endgame depending on your build.

Tbh not sure how much it matters. Stave scaling seems to be pretty comparable for the most part. Lusats does a little bit more, but its increase in FP costs are too steep imo.

Azur's increased cast speed can make it worth it, but Lusat doesnt do enough of an increase in damage to be worth it, even at high int.

Btw for Carian Regal Scepter keep in mind it comes with spinning whatever. If you plan on using a spellcasting mimic, that can get in the way of its ai doing useful things.

Wow. That is really good.

I think it beats out CARIAN REGAL SCEPTER which apparently has 287 maxed out at level 60.

So unless you are married to the moon spells, this one seems better and you can use normal stones to upgrade it. Nice!

neither of them, take the Academy Glintstone Staff, has the best scaling, Carian Regal Scepter surpasses it only minimally from 80 int, below that the academy staff scales better, your two mentioned consume way too much fp and bring practically no added value

Carian Glintstone is the one that benefits energy swords like Adula's Blade that you hold. Carian Glintblade is the one for floaty swords that you don't hold.

The main reason to use those two is because they're light and low requirement. If you are higher level I'd save a dragon smithing stone to switch to the Carian Regal Scepter, because scaling matters more than the buff mentioned for independent sorceries. The Azur and Luzat staffs aren't bad but eat your FP
