My biggest complain is that the cyberspace levels are limited to Greenhill, chemical plant and Sky sanctuary (maybe Highway speedway once).
I would have liked to have more variety and longer stage in these levels.
The combat systems could have some tweaks here and there too.
But you know what? I have fun with this game so for me, it's a good one.
What? You think SEGA would spend MORE MONEY on the Sonic Franchise if sales went down?
That's called a Sunk-Cost Fallacy, and is a very bad business practice which OP seems to be encouraging.
93% Positive on Steam is "Mediocre" apparently.
Some people are legitimately impossible to please.
93% of the people who kept the game past 2 hours enjoyed the game. TIL
Frontiers sits above Forces (which is under 06) to me. You can feel and see the low budget and time constraints as you play within the first hour.
2nd thing you said is "Just your opinion man"
The fact that you rate Forces AND Frontiers below '06 just proves that you are just another "New == Bad" drone.
It's literally impossible to make a game worse than Sonic '06. Period.
Edit: Shadowlet corrected themselves below
Refunders don't count towards review scores.
My mistake, was a typo. Correction: Forces - (which is above 06)
Sonic Boom is worse than 06
If new game is made bad then it's bad. I can't think of any other Sonic games besides Forces that had to make so many constraints for the world/level design. The gameplay loop is just terrible combined with the reused and low effort landscape maps with floating platforms and rails that lock your camera and movement to 2D. The last island even bumped up the token count by x2/x3 (whatever the comparison is, I'm not going to look it up).
The best we got was Mania.
