to me, like i said in my review:

if i had to describe this game i would say it is a 30 hour, extremely experimental, easy to platinum adventure, covered in cheese.

is it a good game: Yes, for the most part

is it a good Sonic game: Depends on what you're looking for

(if you want just a boost formula game, it is average imo.
if you want an adventure style game, it can get very good at some parts.
if you want a game where you gotta explore and find your way up, kinda like an older Phantasy Star game, but instead of an RPG, you control a hybrid of platformer/hack n' slash, then it is on point)

is it a good overall Action Adventure game: Kinda... it is very short for this genre (30h compared to some that has 100h+), there is better, but this is a good game overall.
not many games in this genre have 100+ hours like

Just because these two people said it's bad doesn't mean that everyone else agrees, considering that most critics from journalism outlets and even other independent YouTubers have given it fair scores.

No they haven't. Persona 5 just so happens to be one of the most demanded ports out there because the game itself is considered one of the best games of all times.
Just like how Sonic Frontiers happens to meet plenty of fans' expectations, hence the "Overwhelmingly Positive" Steam reviews.

It is a flawed game, as with any

But if you're into platformers, and are used to 3D, the pros will very likely outweight the cons in your experience

Also remember Steam is BINARY, its not a 9X/100 game grade, just 9X% RECCOMEND the game

Then why are they not doing this for the many 3D Sonic games on Steam that have sub 70% reviews? Humankind and Soul Hackers 2 have pretty low user reviews too.

I don't listen to cuckolds. And this guy lied about Xenoblade 3.
>Posts spoilers of XB3 on twitter
>Gets rightfully called out by fans
>deletes his post
>frames it to make it seem like Xenoblade fans were mad at his video
These big Youtubers are as bad as the IGN's of the world but for different reasons. They have big egos and will immediately fall back on their fanbase as soon as they face some pressure.
Imagine taking this guy's word about video games.

This game is bad in all of the right ways. It is legit good. It also is terrible. It's good in a way that games don't tend to be good anymore. It's the only game I've purchased all year that I have zero regrets for. Worth every penny and I hope this game does for a new generation what Sonic Adventure 2 did for me. It has the potential.

I love dunkey, but frankly, he's wrong on this one. Or, maybe not wrong, more like, it isn't for him. There's no game that is universally a hit, and Sonic always has appealed to a somewhat niche crowd (albeit a very large niche), but Sonic Frontiers has captured a loooot of people, both long time sonic fans and new players alike. It's an experience that teeters between the dumbest thing you've ever played and actual genius.

Even for comedic value, there are parts of the video that are rather hyperbolic on what makes the game 'bad' such as the invisible walls that you wouldn't even encounter in normal gameplay unless you deliberately go out of your way to reach the border between Kronos and Rhea, or like how you need to collect a certain number of collectibles to do this or that as if that wasn't already a thing in other platformer games including Super Mario 64.

Why would they? This is done by the marketing department, not by shills or fanboys. This is clearly a new strategy to get people to buy the games, I'm not falling for it though. I'll wait for the games to drop below $20, Persona that is, this game on the other hand looks like trash, and my gut instinct tells me it sucks.

That's not a valid source, that's just you trying to put yourself above people who like the game.

That's not how that works.

Cut the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Your definition of "common sense" is irrelevant nor is it evidential on whether Sega is pushing some kind of botting or marketing strategy over reviews.
Get over it man, plenty of people have differing opinions to yours whether you like it or not.
