We don't know yet but i highly doubt it, maybe someone will make a mod for widescreen support probably

There we go, the ultrawide 240fps/hz 8k with their RTX 4090 and latest CPU people

Next time you'll ask: Does it run at more than 60 fps

It's 2022, that ship sailed years ago. No Japanese game released this year supports Ultrawide, most regular games don't either.

Is it likely Codenamegamma will hack this game to do widescreen like they did with Forces?

Dunno. I no longer have a PC after hurricane Ian, so only casually browsing PC gaming-related stuff for the time being. Have to play all games on Xbox Series X for the next few months :-\

Most japanese console ports do not support ultrawide out of the box

However if you go to widescreen gaming forum or reddit or discord, there will be people working on a fix and most of the time takes them 5mins lol

Star Ocean only has about 5 hard coded resolutions, so yeah... it's kinda the norm for Japanese games. Elden Ring has 7 or 8 also hard coded resolutions. None of them in any way related to the attached display device

I was really looking forward to Star Ocean but ended up skipping it because it doesn't entirely support ultrawide. It "supports" a couple of resolutions, but it's not proper support. Will probably buy it one day anyway.

I doubt this game will have ultrawide support and it's capped at 60 FPS. Hopefully an ultrawide fix won't be too difficult.

Doesn't support ultrawide but I can at least select my native resolution of 3840x1600.
