The talent tree could use an upgrade
There's a talent tree where you put points in for upgrades like +1 or +% to stuff. That hasn't been fun since 2004 in world of warcraft. It continued not being fun in borderlands and many other games.

An example talent change that might make it more interesting - rather than give a character additional health %, why not give them a 'stunty' trait so their character model is actually smaller (still can jump the same height for platforming purposes)? So, it's harder for this character to be shot. Or, another idea, do give them more health but the character grows in size.

There are millions of awesome things you could do with a talent tree that are not flat stat upgrades and it's only limited by imagination.

If creative things appears in talent tree hopefully there can be a way to respec out of it.
There's an achievement you cannot get if you get one of the talent points.

i think the telentree is almost fine there are only 2 things i might want
1. a little more deeps to the hero talents
maby even different basic gunes you can chose befor you start a game
2. would be somekind to spend your soulpoints once you reach max level
maby in somekind of blackmarket or rerolling the ascentionchois to get
a specific build if wanted

I think the tatlent tree as it is could be removed. You could use the soul shards to unlock more weapons, items or inscriptions. But locking stats behind a grindwall (though it doesnt need a lot of time to get) isnt that fun imo. I can totally understand that the devs want to lock some mechanics like the gemini inscription or the starting weapons behind some points to make the first hours less overwhelming. But those could be unlocked naturally by playing or by completing a small challenge (boring example: kill the first boss 3 times). I know many people need sth like a talent tree to feel awarded. But I prefer a rogue like in which I get better by learning the game only.

The passive tree is a little extra and very powerfull. A friend of mine bought the game and I asked him if I can run the first level on his PC. It was a big diference compared to my account with an almost filled passive tree.
Yet again I think passive skilltrees are fun because they offer something for people who like minmaxing.

You can change ur archive Ingame, it’s simply as that a new character with no talents unlocked, but your old one is saved as well and you can switch always between the games. You don’t need a new game copy for that experience.
