AVX Fix (Patch please) for older CPUs
Please patch this game so users with older CPUs with no AVX instructions can play the game. We all know is because of Denuvo DMR that we cant play it on day one but please I don't want to play this game on PS4.

My software requires AVX as well and it uses no DRM. I don't believe in crippling the performance of everyone else by removing AVX optimization for a handful of users. You won't find many developers that do.

It won't cripple the performance, genius, it literally changes nothing except not keeping a bunch of people who bought the game unable to play it because of a bad port.
I bought the game for a fair amount of price and had to refund, weather they fix it or not I'm never buying any game from 404 ever again, this is not what PC is about.

Oh hey. A necro'd thread with incorrect information.

Denuvo is gone and it still requires AVX.

Imagine that.

My amd 8370 (with a 4.3 all core OC) struggled to hold 50fps in a big chunk of the map and it was new enough to pass the avx requirement.

I certainly wouldn't want to play this on anything older than that.

I actually built a new system to be able to play this game. In my opinion it is still stupid because even thought the game plays good there is not much performance gain. Keep in mind that I was running a dual Intel Xeon 5690 both with 12 cores each and 32gb of ram and a 2080ti. I can run anything and everything from Cyberpunk to Warzone with an average of 100fps with rtx on. This game is inferior than Cyberpunk and it wont run with those specs because of avx instructions. I built an i9 10900k, 32gb ram and rtx 2080ti and got a 30% fps increase in those games, not worth it if you ask me. That is my point when it comes to ported games. If the developer wants to, they can optimize their ported game so it can be playable, but some developers don't care or are not aware or maybe are just too lazy and don't want to spend more money only for a handful of gamers running older devices. Either way I needed an upgrade but the increase in performance was not worth it for me, for my particular case. Anyways, good luck fellas and hope you guys get to enjoy this game. The experience is worth it, and just so you guys know it also applies to all ported games from Sony Playstation. All ports are def worth it if you have to money to upgrade!

Look, I enjoy cyberpunk in spite of some of the jank, but, that game is still hopelessly broken nine months after launch.

It is NOT better.

Cyberpunk also brought back the AVX issues in 1.3
cyäegha Aug 28, 2021 @ 1:16am
you mean 'AVX issues' in air-quotes

encouraging a more forward-looking approach to software development by better utilizing more efficient and powerful instruction sets is not an issue any more than the next-gen consoles finally taking advantage of solid-state read speeds is an 'SSD issue'

if the amount of people still on westmere and nehalem making threads is any indication, expecting a game to run on chipsets that were made obsolescent fifteen generations ago is the issue

You are entitled to your opinion however in my "real world" experience, "real world" performance is what counts. Yes, in theory numbers sound great and all, but if a Westmere or Nehalem processor from 15yrs ago is running everything else with no issues whatsoever, you would expect the same from ports or older games. That is my real argument here, Im not saying Cyberpunk is the game of the year but if the ps4 cannot run and my 15 year old processor can, then whats going on? like I said earlier, I built a new system to able to play the latest and the greatest and I still cant see more than a 20 to 30% gain in "real world" performance.

Anyways, remember that real world performance is what really counts. Any company would always try to convince you that their product is better but "real world" performance is what really counts.

Запустил игру на шакальной сборке rx580 и проце без поддержки AVX (Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5450 @ 3.00GHz) через вот этот эмулятор от голубых
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/684897/intel-software-development-emulator.html
sde.exe -skx -- П:\\УТЬ\К\ds.exe
вместо параметра -skx (этот параметр указывает какой проц нужно эмулировать) в вашем случае может понадобиться какой-нибудь другой. Их так как грязи, я перебирал от самых древних к более новым, пока игра не запустилась.

It constricts the register space available for the assembler to emit instructions and do things like register renaming. AVX is a compiler feature, it's not hand-tuned vectorized code, it's actually using the AVX registers for general-purpose storage.
