Wattson is kinda underpowered, isn't she?

I'm only seeing her in the state she is now and never saw her when she got released, I can't help but feel like she's one of those characters that was okay on release but made people so salty that she got nerfed into oblivion.

The fences don't really do any damage at all and with such a robust parkour system and many characters with mobility abilities they're almost completely pointless at actually alerting you to incoming enemies as well.

The ultimate is just "okay," but is really situational and can't be used throughout the match. It's for the end-of-round clutch when the ring is closing in on you and that's basically the only time it's useful. Any other time being static enough for it to reach you is a death sentence and its rate of shield regen is incredibly slow as well.

It's just a little disappointing.

she can be useful, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ her fence is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clunky to use and having cd of 30 sec per node is not really helpful in that term as well. for other characters ult is nice-to-have, for her it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ must because without it she can't do anything what she does good at because node cd is balanced around it as well.

In arena she is absolute trash aside from her hitbox, in BR she has her niche but still weak.

wattson is a defense character. her job is to try to prevent 3rd parties or being bumrushed with her fences and ultimates or shes just a camper. shes not a run and gun character. to be fair i think she's in a better spot than caustic right now. the only thing she could use to help her current kit is a buff to her passive shield regen and maybe more hp on her fence base to aid in slowdown of a team rushing you. she feels like shes in a good spot.

I had to check https://apexlegendsstatus.com/game-stats/legends-pick-rates . You are correct. Wattson was second lowest pick rate before S9 and now she is the lowest.

Personally, I notice Rampart is a lot more useful in Arenas. I think part of the reason is that in Arenas Wattson does not have much time to develop a set up a good fence setup. Whereas Rampart can build a wall quicker to be useful to the team. Especially in Thermal Station map.

Rampart is useful, if not amongst the best characters to use in Arenas because the maps are small and her passive (LMG buff) makes the Spitfire and L-STAR absurdly OP. She's also excellent for sniping in these maps, I ran into quite a few people abusing the chargeable sentinel + amped cover trick before they fixed it.

They need to restric rampart in arena mode , I used it , it makes me much better than using wraith .

I don't know where this hate on bloodhound comes from , i use it as new player and later on find out bangalore is way better option ,

although as a direct counter , bang movement bonus passive , small hit box and air strike is something bloodhound never have .

In contrast blodhound 2 second wall hack that everyone knows where he is , is really useless , his ult is speed and thermal , which octane get for each 3 seconds and bang passive bonus . At best the ability is only used when you want to check if a sector is clear . Or keep people stay in cover . It takes ages to click the device to scan too .

I think Wattson is still great, if you play defensive you can make some decent plays. If you play aggressive with her it means you can focus more on your aiming and not worry about using abilities. Wouldn't mind throwing fences at people tho, that could help.

I have played Wattson more than any other Legend. I have the most kills as her. I have the most experience with her. I think she's adorable, I love her sprays and the funny little emote that lets you put a nessy down.

But the fences DO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ NOTHING.

It's INFURIATING.

Other legends have a tactical ability that can do SOMETHING. Grappling hooks or energy lifts or invisibility or putting up a wall.

All Wattson gets is a FENCE that does NOTHING and recharges UNBEARABLY SLOWLY.

No, it does WORSE than nothing. If it did NOTHING it'd be at least something to do while you wait for enemies. But it does worse. It shows EVERYONE WHERE YOU ARE FOR MILES.

pretty sure lifeline has the smallest hit box not Wattson .
