You can't prevent it but you can minimize how often it happen.
Take a good plane zone/jump point and watch how many teams jump close to your or near.
hammer also named other good points too.
Don't take all fights you can, just pick the right one and don't wait too long.
If you or your opponent did shot already, you just have a couple seconds to attack and finish the fight. If you need too much time, abort the fight and change your position.
Even with good game sense, it can be very hard to pre call things during the round but these things I named here above can help a lot.
Anyway, here are some key points that can help you improve :
-Finish your fight as quick as possible. If a fight takes too long, you better off retreating because probably third parties are on the way now. The ideal is to eliminate a squad within 1 minute. If your fight takes longer than a minute, after that the chance you will get third partied will be growing exponentially.
-Same applies to looting. If you killed a team loot as fast as you can and get out of there before others teams appears. Don't take your time analysing the loot, just take what absolutely necessary. If you are not confident your looting skills, memorize the items in the firing range where you can find all the existing items in the game.
-If a third party is inevitable and you sustained injuries, do a quick armor swap. That's really important since fallen enemies have full armor in their inventory so you can have a fresh set of armor without have to charge it up. If the enemy is close, you should even swap for a worse armor. Keep it in mind that a fully healed white armor is still better than a broken purple. Survival is the most important.
-If you get third partied, don't be afraid to give them all you've got. Ultimates and grenades are particularly important, because they can buy you enough time to bail you out.
-You need to know your surroundings. There are plenty ways to get away, and retreat in each maps. Most of the times there are paths that let you escape, but you have to have a decent map knowledge to pull these out.
-Memorize where most teams are landing, so you will have a general idea which way the enemy might come from, which will help you later to fend them off.
You all know damn well ALMOST NOBODY is using these tactics when we play. Let me go ahead and launch the game to witness the complete opposite RIGHT NOW.
