Can't cut the Javelin rings!?!
I was playing the other day and I could cut the rings with my lazor just fine.

Now I load up today, grab a refueling javeling and can't cut them at the cut points.
What gives????

Once you reach the certification level where you unlock demo charges, the cut points on javelin rings require them to be cut.

The ones that you can use your cutter on were gray with yellow paint. The one's requiring the Demo Charges are now black with yellow paint... Or something like that. Or they have the large triangle or octagon.

I just recently got to the level where I can purchase demo charges, but it's 2000 LT to purchase the license...

Check the "cut level". If it has TWO dots, you can't use lasers any more.

I'm willing to bet that somewhere from Grades 8 through 20, Javelins will require the bombs.
I don't think any of them is going to require them.

The only way they make the most people happy is by making them available, but optional.

Turns out.... you require demo charges.

Well that's stupid!

The cut material looks like literally the same thing and now you arbitrarily can't cut them because.... no reason. :steamfacepalm:

yaeh I saw that and I went 'that's crazy! I'm never buying those!'

Thanks for the tip.
That's a HUGE surprise which I totally did NOT expect!

What a bad design.... Now I'm going to go play something else because I'm not spending 8 hours on lower tier ships JUST to unlock a tool I don't want to use anyway!

Every time i see you in any forum WWDragon it is to complain about something. No, it's not arbitrary. It is purposeful design to increase the complexity of the puzzle. This is a 'Puzzle' game after all, although it falls into simulation as well.

You obviously don't pay attention to all my posts.

In no way shape or form does it increase the complexity to require another tool that does EXACTLY THE SAME THING as an already existing tool.
You might want to look up the definition of complexity; you used it poorly.

I think you might have to look up one or more of the definitions of the words in the phrase 'exactly the same thing'. I wasn't aware that we slapped cutting tools on surfaces and cleared out before setting them off in a cascade, allowing a beautifully cathartic set of explosions while multiple objects get pulled off into the appropriate receptacles in unison.

Honestly if you avoid using demo charges you're missing out; I look for any opportunity to use them because they're by far the most fun tool to use.
