Glitch that is driving me insane to diagnose
I have an inconsistently-occurring glitch where temple citadels (at least I have only seen it occur with temple citadels) will get three building slots and a bunch of free buildings when the holding is upgraded.

I have tried diagnosing the cause, because, well... it's obviously a balance-shattering glitch, but I can not for the life of me narrow down what the cause is. My game is modded, but the only mods I run that should maybe feasibly cause this is the unofficial patch and a change-holding-type mod (which I have tested two different individual mods to this end, with it inconsistently occurring when using either; I have not tested to see if I can make this glitch happen with the unofficial patch off, but I can't even consistently get the glitch to occur under the same exact conditions otherwise regardless.)

After initial testing, I theorized it would only happen on reloaded saves. I tested for that, only to determine that is not the cause. I then theorized perhaps it only happens when all building slots are built-out and the holding is then upgraded. Tested that, still nothing. I have absolutely no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clue what relevant differences that exist between my troubleshooting save and my actual save that's causing the glitch to occur in the latter and not the former. I've even tried a completely different, older save on a non-mandala character, switching to a mandala character and upgrading their hold just for the glitch to THEN OCCUR THEN. Leaving me to conclude the only cause I can surmise is that it's something that is caused by conditions that only occur-in or are created-by protracted playthroughs?

I am at a total loss, and it's driving me insane. It's a frankly, to my standards, gamebreaking glitch and I cannot for the life of me make it make any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sense.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any theories as-to what I'm overlooking?

EDIT: Tested a slightly longer-running, different save of a non-mandala character, switching to a mandala character and upgrading their hold. Did not occur this time. I'm at a complete loss here.

EDIT 2: I think it might be the unofficial patch? I turned it, and only it, off and reloaded the same forespoken save where I switch from my non-mandala character to a mandala character whose hold was getting the building slots upon upgrading. It does not occur now. Caveat, obviously, that I am loading a save that originally had the mod on, and I still do not know what is actually triggering the glitch to occur, but maybe I have determined what mod is causing it? Maybe? Ugh.

Mandala and temple citadels are bugged in the existing base game - if you go over your domain limit at any point (even with successions) you can get locked to two domains as a limit with building shutdowns until you give away everything above that domain limit. I *think* the unofficial patch has tried to address that.

Don't know if that helps, or, where the game or Unofficial Patch will end up with trying to fix the issue(s). Fixing one bug sometimes ends up being 'whack a mole' until the coding gets fixed.
