No matter who I try to marry, 99% of the time it's incestious. Bug?
It's only the middle of the 900s and I am an empress and Roman rite. Whenever I try to marry myself or my family, I can only marry them to courtiers. When I tried to arrange a marriage manually, I noticed that completely unrelated dynasties (As in no intermarriage happened before) somehow would be incestious?? I remember, before ts tuff update, I could marry almost anyone of my religion, especially thanks to my imperial prestige and personal perks that increase marriage acceptance. Has anyone else had ts happen to them?

Technically that's just Hapsburg genetics. On the other hand... short of entire dynasties being secret love children, hmm. Wonder how they test incest anyway?

You started that save before the update, didn't you? The solution is to go to steam betas and play on 1.19, or start a new save.

I started it when By God Alone released and I own all DLCs except for some cosmetic ones, so I started it on 1.20, but I guess I will start a new save.
It's definitely a new bug, tried starting fresh today with a custom character and aside from my own courtiers all other marriages are getting refused as incestuous outside my court. I deleted the save and will maybe see again tomorrow but it's definitely a new bug introduced by the new dlc
it's paradox, there's tradition for every dlc release you need to wait 2-3 months to play the game
Everybody just marries courtiers, they are no alliances between rulers because of this incestious marriage modifier, meanwhile some incestious rite is being created in Iberia and they do the Targaryen thing.
I just turned the old wives mod off and now it works, maybe if you guys are using it just turn it off and the incestious modifier should be gone.

Figures that it was mods. There are a lot of legit bugs in the game right now but mods are really wonky too. Some mods work fine but some are really weird while pretending to work just fine.

Best thing to do right now is just not use mods at all until they get updated, or roll back to an older version of the game (if you need to use mods of course).

I don't use this particular mod and even with a fresh start it's happening.
I have also been having the same issue. Is your character a custom character? No mods I am using change any marriage modifiers. I don't remember this happening on my first save when playing as a theocracy and reforming the rite to allow marriages. On my current save I'm playing as a custom character in Bohemia. I did name my dynasty after the Přemyslid bc I didn't realize they already existed at the start of the game.

After some more testing, for me it was the "House Traditions" mod. Only suggestion I have is to disable all mods and reenable them one by one until you find the one that is causing your issue then hope it doesn't brick your save.

Thank you! This mod was apparently responsible in my case as well.

Check your laws and rites, you probably put where you can marry your chldren and when you do that nobody outside of those religious ways will want to be involved with you
I had the same issue with the -1000 Incestuous label preventing any marriage. I always use the Love Marriage Family mod but its only valid up to version 1.18 (I think). Disabling this mod removed the Incestuous bug and marriage proposals are back to normal. Game on.
