I can't even launch the game, tried every hint I found on internet, still it does't work. Pity, this used to be my favorite game, now I feel I need a Master's degree in IT in order to be able to launch a game...spent hours on this today, so frustrating.

Its more than likely mods and cache issues. Just reinstall the game keeping your saved games backed up. Or unsubscribe to all your mods and use the no mods playset to start up the game fresh. But games leave residual files all over so it is important to get rid of these as well if you reinstall the game. Look in Documents for the Paradox folder.

The biggest problem are UI-loading related issues. This process blocks CPU, I/O-Ports und SDD by 100 %.

You are talking as if you all have the same problem and you do not. There is no particular problem for most people with this game. So you need to figure out why your own situation is happening.

I used to have a few crashes with this game but I don't seem to have had any lately. Usually it will be hardware related, maybe an incompatibility. I've changed my graphics card since then for example - from a GTX 1060 to a RTX 4060 and now a RTX 5070.

Same for Civ 6 - had loads of crashes in that game until I changed my graphics card, now I have none. Sometimes you can just be unlucky.

I'm working on it. Changing out of date mods for updated mods that do the same thing. I still get crashes.

Don't use mods, pretty simple if you can't figure it out. CBO and Carnalitas are working tho, use those.
