Fangirling a sequel, that isn't made from the original devs, with no real gameplay trailer is mildly retarded. I hope you know that.
PoE2 will leave even PoE1 in the dust, if they deliver even just a quarter of what they have shown.
The devs confirmed that gold is only used to purchase basic items from town vendors, and to gamble. It won't be used as a currency for trading between players, it will still be an item/barter economy.
Well, the original creators of Titan Quest hadn't made a proper ARPG before they made TQ, either. Brian Sullivan, the main designer, was known for his work on the Age of Empires series that he had been involved with for years. As far as I know TQ had been the first ARPG he worked on.
But now we know for sure that the staff of the company Grimlore Games had absolutely no experience in creation of action RPG games. All they did from the moment of their foundation is series of Spellforce. But this is quite another genre.
That's why we cannot expect real Titan Quest 2. The best we can expect is a hybrid of these two games
And I will counter with this from Medierra - Lead Game Designer at Iron Lore on TQ/IT.

So no, just because Grimlore haven't made an ARPG doesn't mean they can't do it and do it well.

But what we see during all the history of game industry: when a legendary game a masterpiece that had millions and millions of fans had a sequel made by absolutely another studio, the gamers had totally great disappointment. For example Sacred 3... It was a fiasco - the greatest failure ever. Gothic 4 Arcania... the same situation - just a big piece of ♥♥♥♥♥...etc
Can anyone show me a case in all the history of computer games when a sequel of a legendary game made by absolutely another studio was really successful? Never! They ALL were a great fiasco!
