You're a bit late to the party. Karanak was invented for tabletop well over a decade ago.

We don't yet know what Karanak's stats and specialization will be. (Do we?)
I suspect he will be an ultra-fast unit capable of killing enemy lords and heroes, in which case, a nice addition to Khorne's roster.

Karanak's spezialization is pretty clearly defined by who he is, kill wizzards. And from the trailer its clear that is the intent.

True, true. I guess I just meant more in the realm of specific stats and abilities. Will he have AP? Anti-large? So many questions.

But you're okay with the pre-existing griffons, dragons, hydras, minotaurs, centaurs, medusa harpies, pegasus, werewolves and every other totally original Warhammer beast, right?

Right cause elves, dwarves, and orcs are so original. Something doesn't have to be original to be cool.

Got nothing to do with creativity, its an established character thats nearly 25 years old.

No creativity required, they even used 6th edition model that came out around year 2000.

The character is thematic to the event, perfect for what its meant for. No pleasing people these days.

Mate, do you even know warhammer fantasy? The whole thing can be summed as "X is just Y from Z". Their whole stick is to take all the fantasy tropes and mash then together into one big world and see what happens. You got remixed Holy Roman Empire, Kingdom of Frengland, Magic China, Vampires from Roma-Sylvania I mean, Straight up The Mummy Returns, Elves, Dwarfs or Orcs, the only more or less original is Chaos as whole, but you know, Khorne is just hell.
Nothing in warhammer is truly seen for the first time ever, but their creativity is not in being first, but in mixing everything together and making it work.
Also what do you mean ratmen, dont be ridiculous.

And luckily CA invented pirates, vampires, and zombies, so at least there is some original content, amirite? Because being original is essential here, otherwise someone might complain.

lil bro thinks CA created karanak

Karanak probably existed before you were born.

Thats literally any type of fiction ever.

They are all vague copies of what came before them.

Same deal with Warcraft and Starcraft.

You could dig through timeline and find the original creation of any type of fiction we are playing today. Its all just iterations of them.

Warhammer has the difference of mainly focusing on tabletop wargame thats why everything looks very surface level.

Even then, the source is propably mix of old european and asian fairy tales and mythology. Dwarfs or Elves came from nordic or germanic mythology. Cant really be more precise as origin of this propably predates writing hahah.
But man, how dare they just copy Kerberos, thats lame boo hoo.

Also, I'm expecting a buff to warhounds and stuff. Similar to what Gorduz does to hobgoblins: adds variety by bringing weaker units to level where they are worth using, even closer to endgame.

yea like a 2000 year old fantasy ain't old fashion at least Orcs, Elves etc are modern design.
