Female Characters

As a girl I really want to see more female characters, it's a bit disappointing seeing the super small list and all the supposed 'gender neutral' races represented by only men, like Orcs who are supposedly just a mushroom but are very obviously all men.

Valkia is cool, but she's the only female demon/chaos character and it took them 3 games and a million DLCs to finally add one, so seeing some more would be amazing.

There are only 2 Norsca lords, so there'd be some room to add female characters there, right?

People mentioned before that there is a possibility for female Dwarf characters so that would be cool, how about the Empire too though, or some more High Elves at least?

Are there any other possible female LL we could see in the future?

wood elves are the faction with the most playable female characters on tabletop, with Ariel, the two twillight sisters, Drycha and Naieth (Naieth being the only one not already in the game).
Despite the fact that many female lords and heroes are part of the High Elf armies, they unfortunately don't really have any playable female HE character outside of Alarielle herself.
And same with Dark elves, only really Morathi and Hellebron.

Then most human & udnead races seem to have 1 or 2, and most of them are in game already.

For those that we may get in the future,
-We're almost definitely getting Elspeth for the Empire. She will logically be part of the same DLC as Thamurkhan (he's a Nurgle LL). She's a female human mage on a dragon, from Nuln.

-We're almost definitely getting Neferata for Vampire Counts. She's the first Vampire in the lore, so she's pretty important. Her turf is the silver spire in the north western darklands, though she's been moving a lot, ploting while trying to not be found by Khalida.

-We're relatively likely to get at least one more female Cathay character down the line, as Yin Yin has been mentionned several time. She's a female dragon, sister of Miao Ying, and seems to be in charge of the eastern coast of Cathay/of the cathayan naval fleet.

-We're relatively likely to get Dechala for Slaanesh at some point, since she's one of the few remaining important monogod Slaanesh character. She's a heavily mutated ex human character, forever banned of accessing the daemon prince status.

-We're also pretty likely to get at least one more Kislev female character (Mother Ostyanka). She's an old witch that seem quite creepy in the lore. Could be a LH instead of a LL though.

-We're relatively unlikely to get Naieth for Wood elves. She's a mage, and is our advisor during some of the WE scenario in WH2. It doesn't seem like CA has plan to add her tbh, but who knows.

Finally, we technically just got another female character this patch ( Ulrika); but as a LH. It's worth noting that we do not know the full list of possible LL for Kislev and Cathay since they aren't available GW side yet. Could have one or two more in there easily, but we won't know for a while.

Its a War game, normally women don participate in war and especially dont lead armies

What? How on Earth did you come to that conclusion? In what manner is this game prejudiced against women?

Sure there are a few, but I can assure you there are people with misandry in this community as well. But I can assure you, they are a very small minority. Warhammer fans are obnoxious about their lore, but misogynistic? No.

Sure there are a few, but I can assure you there are people with misandry in this community as well. But I can assure you, they are a very small minority. Warhammer fans are obnoxious about their lore, but misogynistic? No.

As always a reasonable person right there.

Honestly I don't understand why so many people across the globe care more about gender, sexuality and race than character story, lore and uniqueness of those characters. I rather have only a handfull of extremely well written characters in a game, movie or book than a character for every race, sexuality and gender combination, because most of the time the latter are characters that are as hollow as an empty box and have zero depth in terms of story and personality.

Edit: And I absolutely don't give two rotten rats about what gender, sexuality or race these characters have as long as they're written well and their personality is not revolving around one of those 3 things.

as a goatman...am quite happy the quota of goatman in the game...I feel quite represented
but yeah the game need more females so I can do goatman thing to them...JK

If you like you can download the SFO mod when it's off maintenance for Chorfs. There are a number of female units added to the dark elf faction especially Hellebron.

There are also plenty of mix gendered mods so your units have men and women for the more human-appearing races. As for the Orks and Lizardmen and the Skaven, the more 'beast-like' races don't expect female anything from them.

i like it when females are added with some thought behind them as casters and ranged units and support chars whilst the melee units are male, it's very thematic and works well and i'd be all for more of it. what i don't like is when they do it lazily and just randomly shove females into heavy infantry units alongside males. it just looks wrong to have marauders fighting a k-pop band

The reactions given to the OP clearly reinforce all the stereotypes about the warhammer fanbase. It's a perfectly reasonable request, denied only because of red pillers or whatever they're called now.

The thing you have to remember is a lot of the races in the Warhammer lore either don't have females or are extremely patriarchal and don't send women into wars or otherwise dangerous situations. That's just how some of them are. I'd rather not break the lore just for some extra representation, especially since there are playable races that do have female characters, so you can just play as them.
