It will have Denuvo Anti-Tamper, identical to that of TWWH2.

I know I'm not a fan of denuvo but the people in charge of putting denuvo in WH have always done a good job implementing it properly so I wouldn't worry to much

The implementation isn't really the problem, it's that a Denuvo game is tied to a server, making it nothing more than a rental. Server problems? No game. Luckily, there are native Mac and Linux versions that will be free of it, no matter what they do to the Windows version.

Yea I know it's the main reason why I hate It another problem is when it's implemented improperly there's the stuttering and fps loss I remember with Monster-hunter-world when that Iceborne dlc came out the base game was so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that a work around was getting cracked game files and removing denuvo I couldn't play the game till I tried it and it worked couldn't play online but I never really did much

you do realize that your entire steam library is basically the same thing right?
if steam ever goes down than you dont have to expect physical copies of your library because you bought them. steam goes down its bye bye games

If it's using Denuvo it would have to say "Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: Denuvo Anti-tamper" on the store page, which is not currently present even though people are buying the game.

You can play Steam games offline. Most games on Steam don't use DRM anyway so you don't even have to have Steam open. The only thing you can't do is download them again if Steam were to go offline.

You can't play a denuvo game without access to the denuvo servers. There have been multiple outages with people unable to play their games for a few days because of this.

The issue with denuvo is it impacts performance. Copies down the road that have had it removed always have improved performance.

To further your argument, here is a list of sources on recent outages and issues attributed to Denuvo:
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/a-great-day-for-drm-as-denuvo-lapse-renders-tons-of-games-temporarily-unplayable/
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/humankind-drops-denuvo-ahead-of-launch-to-avoid-performance-problems/
https://www.techpowerup.com/287986/intel-alder-lake-has-compatibility-issues-with-older-versions-of-denuvo-drm-middleware

The last one especially took months to completely solve so most publishers simply removed it from the affected games instead. A minority left their customers with 12th gen CPUs in the dust, waiting for Denuvo to provide them with an updated build. Meanwhile, pirates were playing just fine, laughing at us all the way down to the realm of Chaos.

CA is weirdly strong-headed about their use of Denuvo. They won't remove it for any reason it seems, even if it doesn't make sense anymore in their older titles. Also, Total Warhammer 2 never properly disclosed the use of Denuvo even though disclosing interoperability issues and third party encryption is a legal requirement in the EU, with good reason (They added the warning only a few days ago[steamdb.info]). I'm afraid this will be a repeat and considering I've been locked out of the previous instalments on several occasions even while being online, I slowly stopped buying Total Warhammer DLC too.

Although I absolutely love and own all the games CA released for the past twenty years... there's a bit too much for me to overlook this time so that'll be their first title I'll skip. With years, Denuvo unfortunately devolved from barely noticeable to serious inconvenience. :clickbutton:

You don't actually own the games you buy from my understanding regardless. It's just a license to use the product.

same goes with your steam account and everything on your account.

same goes with MMORPGs, the account you use is not really yours. you just "rent" the account.

it's a really spooky thing if you really think about it. Valve can in theory, just say "♥♥♥♥ you" and ban your account without reason since it's theirs.
