While Everyone's Getting Excited About DLCs for Their Favorite Old Races, There's One Important Conversation We Need to Have - What Units Are Left To Add?
I've been seeing a lot of enthusiastic discussions about up coming DLCs. What LLs can be added and which races are more desperately in need updates, will we Nagash, etc. But after looking at several of these and indulging in them myself, I just realized that there is one critical question that nobody is asking:

What units are left to add for the old races?

We all know how important a part of a Lord Pack new units for the races involved are, especially after seeing the amount of importance the apparent majority of the fanbase puts on the number of them we get. Sure with some races this an easy question to answer; Dwarfs have Thunderbarges and some different kinds of Slayers left, Skaven have Verminlords and Stormfiends, High Elves have Lothern Skycutters left. But what about other races like Lizardmen, Greenskins and Brettonia, what do they have left? If they add Neferata, what is she going to bring with her? This is the question that we also need to be asking and answering in discussions about future content for old races.

Empire - Engineer Hero (or lord?), Middenland knights
Dwarfs - Airship, deamon slayers unit, slayer hero/lord, maybe rune golelem

Now that is handy. Though according to that list, some of the races seem to have very few units left, mostly variants in some cases.

And most of the variants are worse than what is already in the base game - e.g. without shields.

My hope is that CA and GW create some new units to help plug the gaps in the TW rosters - it worked for the Tomb Kings with the Nehekaran Warriors

3 of the factions in game are still represented with un loreful placeholder units.

Skaven - Thanquol (Legendary Lord)
Verminlord (Greater Daemon of Horned Rat)
Chimaerat (Rat Hydra)
Burrowing Behemoth
Magnarats
Warpslingers
Poisonwing Bombardiers
Rat Ogre Chariot
Stormfiends
Giant Rats

Nurgle - Many Characters...
Putrid Blightkings
Toad Dragon
Plagueriders (Monstrous Cavalry)
Bile Trolls

Slaanesh - Masque of Slaanesh (Legendary Lord)
Pleasureseekers (Monstrous Cavalry)
They may need somethings from AoS to achieve balance...

Khorne - Slaughterbrute

Tzeentch - Galrauch the Great Drake (Legendary Hero)
Changebringers (Flamers on Disc)
Don't know why Galrauch is not in SoC. The strongest single entity creature in warhammer.

Warriors of Chaos - Chimera

Beastmen - Ghorros Warhoof (Legendary Lord)
Slugtongue (Legendary Lord)
Moonclaw (Legendary Hero)
Pestigor
Slaangor
Khorngor

Chaos Dwarf - Chaos Siege Giant

Norsca - Don't know why they don't get those marauder variations already in game...

Very important - Goblin Night Shaman hero needs wolf or spider mount.

It is only spellcaster hero without option to have any mount

Yeah, I think the major problem with them is that they are basically a homebrew faction (Since while they existed in the lore they didn't have their own established TT army unlike most of the other races in-game) that's just been cobbled together from disparate pieces of Chaos lore from here and there. Though Norsca basically being the left overs of Chaos stitched together does open the door to some less traditional avenues for expansion.

For instance they could include some units from other Chaos tribes like the Kurgans (which they are already stand-ins for). They could also give the more Fimir units if their lore gets expanded. When new Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay info came out with a new Fimir character, some Youtubers were discussing how this character could be a prospective Norsca LL someday.

I don’t care about extra units, most races have plenty. I want more lords with unique campaign mechanics. Or for some just new starts. Make skeggi a full campaign with dinosaur monsters, Jade vampires that combine vampire counts with Cathay mechanics. Stuff like that

Many factions could use better lord or hero selections I think, some factions have 5 heros and lord choices while some have 1, like for tomb kings, your only choice for lords are.... tomb kings, while the elves get 100 different choices of mages and hybrid fighters for lords

But would people accept a Lord Pack that came out, and one of the races involved only got new lords and heroes and no new units?
