Why is no one playing streaming the game on twitch?

total war warhammer's twitch viewerbase has always been small. there's 20k people playing the game, but only ~300 viewers (if you cut the one 2k viewer streamer)

just not true. look at payday 2. CONSISTENTLY is one of the top 50 games played on steam. has been in the top 50 games played on steam for 9 years in a row now. has one of the smallest twitch viewership bases for a game so big. rarely if ever cracks 100 viewers.

Thats not the reason it isnt played right now. The viewership actually was developing over time with the updates to TW2 that came in as well as turneys going on were getting bigger and were just about to establish. There were multiple streamers like nerdrage or spacegoon that have been playing tw2 for years just because they seemingly had fun doing so. The TW2 viewership was just about to hit certain thresholds when Wh3 hit. It hasnt "always been like that" it kept developing. TW 3 made it disappear.

Games like Total War aren't very good to stream, but there are 25 or so streaming WH3 right now. Way more than Troy or 3k.

It's a strategy game, they aren't fast paced, or (standard style) multiplayer, or roguelike, or RPG (etc etc)

The genre as a whole is one of the fewer streamed genres simply because its slower paced and usually single player.

Unfortunately I have to agree. The game looks so ugly even on ultra settings. I think the denuvo drm that is constantly running with the game is messing with the engine.

130000 on steam was high point
that dont include epic or game pass
ive had 2 patches that stop the game from working only to have next one make it fly sweet
the issue also lies in 30 and 40 series designs as well ive heard of 3080s with issues on other games too
anyhow ive for now fdropped ot medium on all settings and seems fine
ill stay there for this play through and then we can see what patch comes next
