Actually I'm pretty sure it had the same problem there.
Not the only thing broken in WH3 ;)
I think we all want this fixed.
Also:
I agree it's ridiculous for the Bastion in particular to not prevent movement, but it's not a new issue.

No I never did. I asked "What is it (even) for?" English is only my third language but nevertheless I am 100% sure that it is not the same as "what is it?"
Nevermind. As it seems, it wasn´t as stupid as I thought - the Gate was burning after the second turn, so it seems the AI attacked, lootet the Bastion and then marched through, which would make a lot of sense. It does not make sense that they did not loose a single man, though, despite the fact that I still beat the crap out of them with ease.
