Things Space Engineers 2 needs (at some point)
Howdy Yall, Id like to get a discussion started about various things we as a community would like to see Keen add to the game. Ill start off with saying, walkthrough connectors/ and airtight walkthrough connectors with conveyor functionality. Another thing is something like the buildinfo mod, specifically the show connections command from it where it will show you every conveyor in your grid and allow you to find where things need to be connected.

Walkthroughs, hmm scratch dat replace it with interactive tutorials like ones in X4 Foundations dat takes U by the hand and guides U through even step and even a person with very low IQ can understand. :3

As 4 conveyors n connectors, yea I would like 2 see dat on there as well, like a invisible lines running through the ship dat U can simply switch 2 visible in ship's info tab 2 so all conveyors and U can see which ones been DISCONNECTED or wasn't properly connected to sumthin. :3
The reason for lines instead of showing the conveyor blocks its self, is for performance. >w>

Another noice feature is Air Leak detection from airvents. :3
And when water comes the airvents can have water leak detection as well. ^w^
And both are switch toggle on a timer for like 2 minutes be4 they auto toggle back off 2 save performance. :3

Ohhh yes! Air leak detection would be killer, I had so many issues with that because apparently wedge blocks dont insulate air in the first game

To be able to paint ONE side of a block only.
The new grid system with small and large blocks is great, then I no longer have to build with a back door using "rotor -> add small head". Because all connections via rotor/piston/hinge were very unstable. I like building movable things. My landing gear is attached to a hinge and piston so that it can be properly stowed in the fuselage, which then closes. Please make such connections stable so that they not only look cool but also have a practical use.

I personally use Build Info and Air Leak detection mods 2gether, then press [ctrl](hold)+[] keys 2 toggle Build Info views for airtightness 2 conveyor connection ports. >:3

Work around is using armor plates 2 make 1 sided color on armor blocks. X3
I think what you meant for the walk-through connector is a docking ring? That'd be awesome to have in SE2, though I have no doubt we'll be able to build our own.

Also considering the even smaller grid sizes mean we can just use two layers of the small grid to paint the exterior one color and the interior another. I really can't wait to see what people make with the new system. I just know people are gonna go nuts as soon as the game launches.

Parts tracking for building. The build planner is nice and all, but a little display at the side of the hud showing what need for a selected build would clear things up. Like when you just need to grab that one part left over needed.

Dammitt *stamps foot*
I don't want a reacharounnd mate..
I want to paint one side of a block only..
For artistic reasons of course...

But seriously, it would be a nice QOL addition.
a better way to hack blocks would be amazing something like the hacking block mod but with some sort of beacon that warns the grid's owner and potentially gives the location of the hack to balance it
