I want to attempt a fan translation of this game to Italian.

I would like to attempt a fan translation of the game to Italian, but I don't know anything about modding or hacking. Can someone point me in the right direction?

By the way, I don't own the game on PC, I have the Switch version... Assuming replacement of ingame text on PC is possible and not extremely complicated, I will buy the game on PC and attempt a translation in my free time. If text replacement is really hard or requires a lot of effort like messing with hex editors and stuf flike that, I might not even try.

Any pointer on how to replace text in this game would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance ~

Even if you have all hack tools to extract and inject files again, you must check every line of your translation in game, because number of letters will be different and some text can go from text window borders or just look lame. It very boring process.

Ti consiglio di chiedere aiuto su gamestranslator.it, qualcuno aveva iniziato più di una discussione sull'argomento. Io sarei uno di quelli a cui farebbe parecchio piacere avere il gioco interamente in Italiano, ma purtroppo non posso aiutarti non avendo grande dimestichezza con l'inglese.

In realtà avevo iniziato per i fatti miei smanettando con un programmino che poteva estrarre gli archivi di Gust (gust_tool) e tirare fuori i file che contengono il testo, a quel punto bastava modificarli con un text editor qualsiasi e reimpacchettarli, ho tradotto le prime 2-3 ore del gioco ma poi mi sono arreso per mancanza di interesse e per essere passato ad altri giochi. Ora non sono più ispirato, oltre a questo non credo ci sia interesse in Italia per questo tipo di giochi.
Magari più avanti quando mi tornerà la voglia di giocare ad Atelier (che è una delle mie serie preferite ma ora come ora sono in burnout da JRPG) ci ripenserò, in quel caso sarai il primo a saperlo :D
