Seems that the thread is down atm due to Steam spam filters, but once it's up download and copy the files to the game's install folder, make sure to edit the ini to 1920x1080 if you're running 1080p, then enable background in Special K settings
For most games, I am able to make it run while you have keyboard / mouse input focused in a different application and still accept gamepad input. That feature doesn't work here :-\
Nonetheless, the background render feature will do what the OP wants, just not what _I_ wanted when I designed it :)
Wait, what do you mean? I can click on a program on my second monitor and get mouse/keyboard input, and the game still accepts game pad input while focused on a different window. Am I missing something you're saying here?
If the game used XInput, it'd be a different story. But DirectInput sinks its input thread the second another app is activated.
