Is Shadow Kanji a joke?

For Shadow Chie and Shadow Yukkie you had fight them using very specific attacks, you couldn't just wail on him or else you'd die immediately. I kind of liked it, it felt like they were a puzzle, especially Shadow Yukkie who becames a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Nightmare when her Prince shows up.

But Shadow Knaji, nope just wail on him, making sure to kill his healer and buffer... He even had hillariously pathetic damage output.

Is this some kind of "Oh get it? He's the gay boss, so he's a total wuss!"

Generic Shadows on the way to Kanji gave me a much tougher time...

Or.. is there something I'm missing, because that was... way too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ easy.

He was kind of harder in the original P4 where Nice Guy didn't have a weakness to ice, then at the same time using Rakshasa makes this bossfight a joke.

I dunno.
I had some trouble a few times fighting him. I thought he would rage when I killed his adds, so I just focused on the main boss. Only about the third time did I start taking out his teammates with fire and ice.

He's a fairly difficult boss actually, he can very quickly overwhelm you if you haven't fused Personas that can properly handle his surprisingly high damage output.

You were probably overleveled or knew what to expect going in, because everyone I know who’s played this game saw him as a roadblock for a while

Nope this is a blind run, second I saw there was a healer, I just.. killed him first.

Which difficulty? On the hardest, you can get wiped by a random crit, tbh. Dia won't save you from that.

He was nerfed in Golden, as was Shadow Yukiko.

Shadow Yukiko probably needed the nerf more, because that thing was crazy for the first real boss of the game, but Kanji got it pretty bad too.

Guy could drop 70x3 damage per turn, with any of those possibly being a crit. His posse was also way tankier and didn't have weaknesses, but DID have the ability to absorb opposing elements, meaning Ma-spells would hurt you more than help.

I doubt I'm RPJesus, I rarely finish JRPGs because of their length.

Then again when I do play RPGs I get so overleveled that the final boss is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke.

True story when I played Dragon Quest 2, I got tricked by the illusionary castle and went back and forth so many t imes that by the time I figured things out, my ccharacters were so strong that the final guy went down like a ♥♥♥♥♥ that I did last night, my Dragon Quest skills are out of sight.

Explains a lot

"Mabufu" spams from Jack Frost and Yukiko, basically had Nice Guy crippled the whole match and without Nice Guy, Tough Guy wasn't even a problem at all.

But Shadow Yukiko and Contraian King, I needed grinding and prayer to RN-Jesus. Seriously I had to keep fiughting Contraian King until I got a round where he DIDN'T once use Rampage, which was a OHKO on my entire ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ party each time.

But Shadow Kanji... I'd make a joke about him dropping the soap in his bath-house, but gay jokes are so 2006

Maybe im wrong, but didnt they changed the difficulty for P4G, that normal is more like easy and that hard is the normal difficulty from P4?
