B42 Corpses
Okay, dealing with Corpses has become insanely slow and lets say worse than in 41 currently. Animation is neat and all but I now have to place corpses into graves one at a time, and I've not been able to find out how to load corpses onto vehicles so I can transport them farther away.

I'm I missing something? Because dropping one corpse at a time into a grave is lets say unnecessarily time consuming, and if you're unable to load them into vehicles as well.... well..

Honestly prefer having no corpse animations if this is how it's going to be done now. As basically there is a point where realism gets in the way of actually enjoying the game.

why are you burying them? just drag them a few tiles away, they'll disappear on their own

Just lead them to your designated kill zone and let them rot there. Is also a good place to dump all the junk on them.

Irrelevant, doesn't address the issue. Just presenting a way around that. But when you had to clear a structure of zombies, have to drag them out find out you can not pack them in a vehicle.. it's kind of annoying. You're also ignoring that the more you drag them the more strained/exhausted your character can be.

So... being able to back up a truck, drive them ten yards away, then dumb them, which is what I'd normally do. But since I couldn't do that I decided to bury them, well dumped them all in one spot dug a hole only to find out you had to drag them one by one into the grave. Prior to that you could just drag/drop them into the grave like a container, was super speedy.

ie, everything you just said doesn't address that the new Corpse dragging animation system makes removing zombies look cooler but also makes removing corpses far less efficient and far more time consuming. Basically the new system is actually worse than the 41 system.

It's literally just terrible.

Yep. Most folks agree and realize this is why they are suggesting to not even bother with it.
I tried to dump them out of windows, from roofs...does not really matter. Disposing of corpses is now, wait 216 hours. (which 9 days) or dont lead them there, or lead them out of there.

Why are you moving bodies anyway?

They have legs and can walk themselves to your pyre.

All comments are disregarding the actual point and mentioning workarounds when the actual point is fairly important. If you want to establish yourself somewhere and there's already corpses, it's a long ordeal (and not a particularly entertaining one) to move the corpses.

I'm not saying a pickup truck should hold dozens of corpses or you should be able to sprint holding a corpse.. but not even being able to put a corpse in the back of a car is disappointing. And spending all day dragging corpses should probably give some fitness exp :P

While the new animations are great, if tidying your base (or any other area) becomes so tedious and exhausting that ignoring the mechanic entirely is the practical solution, it needs serious fixing. I gave up and wouldn't even pile them up in the end, just go exploring away from the base for a while instead and rush inside when returning to avoid the smell.

Sybarine makes a VERY good point. Corpse sickness is supposed to be (and IS) a real problem if it's around your base. If the mechanic to mitigate it is so bad you would rather be surrounded by the plague, then yeah...that's a problem in and of itself.

I used to pack them into the back of a van or truck and dump them far from the base. I can not even figure out how to get them in a vehicle now. lol

Yeah. They really need to be able to be loaded into the back of a van if the dragging system is to be kept. I died recently on my save file and found my old character shambling around. I put him down, grabbed him and was gonna bury him back at base.

Couldn't. Dragging him back to base would have been a like.. 3-4 hour long IRL affair. One i probably wouldnt have lived.

Not sure if the actual point is valid to begin with. "walking from RS to WP takes too long" would also be a similar point. Clearing out a large number of corpses from a building is gonna be a very hard task. But dropping them just outside is good enough.
