1. Emm... I don't know what are you talking about.
2. Number next to nickname is Season pass level.
3. You can find clans here on forum or Bungie.net forum. You can also find people here discord.com/invite/d2lfg
I have played a while now and still have many areas where I just think 'wtf is that all about?'
Noob questions can always be helpful to not so noobs
They can also be found in exploration areas of europa and need to be shot in a specific order to spawn a loot chest. You need the scanner buff obtained from killing a scanner fallen after buying the weekly item from Variks.
The flying drones depends on which ones you're talking about, if it's the ones during the public event on europa they're used to activate the heroic mode. If it's the ones scattered throughout europa then they'e used for the "Augmented Obsession" triumphs for the Splintered Seal.
The number is your current level for the season, it will reset with every season.
You can search for clans on Bungie.net if you got to the forums and search recruitment you can find loads of clans looking for people, sadly there's nothing in-game for searching for clans.
Sorry, I had described them stupidly....
Thanks guys, very helpful!
So if that level is the season-level, is there any way I can see if a player is really new or a 10000hours-veteran? I'd prefer to be visibly a noob, so my silly mistakes would be more forgivable :-)
Don't worry about the numbers, it's just a representation of how far you have come in the season. It has nothing to do with skill, grind hard enough and even a new player can get a high seasonal rank.
If you mean the ones on Europa, those are part of a quest series. I've only done it once or twice, so my memories are a bit hazy. But my recollection is that you need to talk to Variks, and level up his quest system (Sabotage), once you've leveled up a bit, you can buy a special sensor from him (once per week). (Note: It's on his second page of stuff). That will let you kill a cloaked NPC (who can appear in any of the patrol zones) and gain data from it, part of what you do next, is go hunt down those little sensor bots. That's my recollection anyway.
They also show up during the Fallen Brig public event. If you shoot all of them during all three phases of that event, you trigger the Heroic version of the event.
That's the season pass level for this season.
There's a lot more direct tools to help with that kind of stuff on Bungie's website: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Topics?pNumber=0&tg=Clans&tSort=3&tType=0&d=0&lang=en
There is an in-game social pane, but I don't recall the command to open it up off hand. (Which just goes to show you how social *I* am in game).
Thanks a lot, very detailed, and I can reast at peace now :-)
lol...Haven't seen any social pane, but the site is probably a good start. Thanks for that too.
Though I'm not very social, I enjoyed the clan-thingie in Division. At least those PvE-singleplayer-clans. Occasional unforced grouping, and collectively and passively working towards some benifts. Thought it'd be the same here, as the games are very similar.
Every public event has (AFAIK) a way to trigger the heroic version, which is more difficult of course, but is also supposed to give better rewards. They all vary. Generally, I try not to trigger it if I'm all alone, but if there's a couple of other people there, it usually works out.
Oh yes I've read that in the reddit-guide and also noticed sometimes happening. But as I'm mostly clueless just doing what I'm told by the game, it mostly worked out well
There are some events I still have no clue how to trigger. You just have to watch what other Guardians are doing, if they seem to be doing something other than attacking the obvious enemies, then the odds are good that's part of what triggers the Heroic version.

I will try to keep that in mind, but usually i'm focused on not dying. Guess that most others have waaaaaaaaaaaaay better stuff than me and kill stuff with less hassles. But I'm getting there. Took like 100hrs in Division to dare try heroic stuff. And I'm an old fart, I suck anyway
But I've seen a guide which says what triggers heroic. Right now, I don't care much though, as I swap gear faster than underpants.
1: idk what your talking about with these if u mean the things that laser walls they are just passive builders of the area to assist in adding detail
2: Thats the season pass level
3: If you have a phone u can use the destiny 2 app for lfg but if searching for randoms isnt your thing then there are discords around that people go in for basically the same thing but for some reason more respectable to use.
