Witch queen worth or wait for Lightfall?

I havent played in over a year or so during the beyond light DLC. It it worth to get back in now or should I just wait for Lightfall?

I personally wait for Lightfall at the moment. I came back when LF is about to be released in March next year lol.

With "sunsetting" no longer being a thing, it's pretty safe to buy DLCs longer into their life-cycle.
That being said, I wouldn't recommend the deluxe edition, unless you really care about catching up on past seasons.
Note, that seasons are separate from expansions (in this case TWQ as expac and Risen, Hunted, Plunder and the still to-be-released 4th season as seasons) and seasonal content will still be removed from the game in due time (in this case with Lightfall release).

If you're wondering whether or not to buy just TWQ, I'd recommend it if you're an active or returning player. It can be savely regarded as one of the best expacs the game has gotten to so far, however, if you're on the fence about playing D2 anyway and the prospect of a (by Destiny standards...) outstanding campaign and a decent raid don't convince you, your money (and more so your time!) might be better invested elsewhere.

Witch Queen is pretty solid expansion. As a fan I'd say get in now since the seasonal content won't stick around. Though if you don't feel a rush to play it now it might be better to wait since Lightfall seems to be adding better features for new and returning players.

Witch Queen is a pretty good Expansion in my opinion. Not sure why you'd bother to wait. There's still at least 4 months before Lightfall (possibly longer, Bungie has extended seasons in the past to manage their production schedule).

If you have the Deluxe Edition, then the Expansion itself is available, as are the two dungeons, and the seasonal content from all the seasons (each season includes a story and at least one (if not several) activities. There's a whole bunch of stuff to do at the moment.

If you want to wait, well ... that's your call, but Witch Queen isn't "bad".

I bought Witchqueen Deluxe at the beginning of this season, and I still miss few weekly activities. I've been so busy to follow up the main campaign and quests, also past seasons. If you buy deluxe now you will spend some times for Witchqueen main quest and campaign, and then you will spend a lot of time for past 3 seasons activities. You will get this seasonal weapons and exotics. Also dungeons are always active that you can grind dungeon weapons without any limit.

If you just wait Lightfall, some of seasonal weapon you can't even get. And you might get only one or two from Xur with not that nice perks. Also you need to spend expensive materials for each Seasonal exotics. And Dungeon will be a part of a rotation schedule which is you have to wait 1~2 month.

I didnt already have that opinion. I was saying that based off the answers I get that IF the witch queen isnt worth, then im fine with waiting. But I did end up getting it

Ah I misunderstood, if you do end up enjoying Witch Queen then I'd recommend the deluxe edition upgrade that includes 4 season and 2 dungeons.

I guess its also worth noting that outside of the expansions themselves the game gets new/updated features such as depending on when you played:

After Beyond Light they implemented a transmog system to turn any legendary armor into ornaments as well as the seasonal challenges that offer more structure to each week and provide bright dust (all 10 weeks are obtainable through out the season).

The past year they've reworked all the light subclasses to work as a pick and choose style of Stasis and implemented their weapon crafting system.

Next year they'll add in game LFG, a new achievement system for personal growth, a player accolade system, and in game gear loadouts.

As for new free content they added a new game free game mode Dares of Eternity, 2 free raids Vault of Glass and King's fall. This is my 3rd attempt at playing Destiny 2 (at launch, then ay ear ago...now I bought Witch Queen) and it is by FAR the most fun i've had with the game. Worth it IMO
