Is it worth to comeback as a F2P player?
Hey, last time I've played Destiny 2 was in 2020. I think it was their first "season", with the first ever pass. I had a blast with the game, loved every second playing it. Because of few friends droping the game, I've also give up on it.
Now I'm thinking about trying it again, but from what I heard, a lot was changed. Most content was removed.
So I wonder: what can a non paying player see and experience?
And also, which DLC should I consider to get if I decide to throw some bucks?
Thanks!

Hi there!

The moderators have put together a pretty good New Player Guide that can give some good insight as to what's available as someone who is either returning or new! We pinned it at the top of this forum!

There are also some other forum goers that also have some pretty in-depth guides as well that I recommend you check out as well!

Free to play part is just a taster for the game. You can do some stuff and get a feel but cannot really progress without jumping into the paid game.

I would recommend Witch Queen Deluxe if you want to play for at least 2022.

You’ll hit a paywall. So you’ll have to pay up at some point. Free to play part is to suck you in.

nope.
doesn't matter how long you played prior to 2020, doesn't matter how much money you've sunk into expansions. bungie has to created an "MMO" where any and all progress you've made building your character can and will be rendered pointless with each new expansion

Not even in the slightest.

@OP, I can't say whether it's would be worth it to you, I'm not you. However, the only thing it cost to try the F2P portion of the game is your time. I would suggest looking at the guides suggested above for some pretty good information about the game.

Or, you can just listen to the bitter people saying no, like they have the first clue what you may or may not like. It's your call, not ours.
